Cherry Tree Studio

Quiet location within easy reach of Ironbridge and Telford. Broseley and Ironbridge are nice locations to have a walk around. Fortunately, a helpful lady provided some assistance and re-assurance when I arrived and pointed me to a video that had been sent to me by WhatsApp. This showed how to reach the apartment from the car park and provided the key lock code. The studio flat was adequate for a short stay for one person. but definitely too small for two people. It was very quiet and also within easy reach of the village centre. The microwave and fridge allowed me to bring and cook some of my own food to cater for my specific dietary needs and was one reason I booked this location. The accommodation was clean and provided some complimentary tea and coffee as well as crockery and cutlery which was very thoughtful. Despite the shortcomings and the difficulties locating the property, I would probably stay there again.

Google Maps shows the property on the wrong side of Church Road. Street view has the property mostly obscured so it was impossible to know what it looks like beforehand except for a very small section. This made it very difficult to find. From the Booking.com information I was looking for The Cherry Tree Studio is the name of the room within a property called The Pheasant, but based on the information from booking.com I was looking for "The Cherry Tree Studio" . Had to ask locals who also seemed mostly confused until one gentleman recognised Laura Cannon's name and directed me to the Pheasant car park.The check in procedure is rather bizarre and I was almost ready to turn back and drive home but for a voice suddenly calling me from the opposite side of the car park.Why make things so complicated for your guest? Add this to having to deal with a third party to make the booking and then finding the property being obscured on Google Street View, and I was seriously wondering whether I had made an error and this was a scam.... Happily as it turns out, it wasn't. Would have very much preferred to deal directly with the accommodation management and confirm the booking arrangement with them.. There was a food menu in the information folder from some restaurant reachable by telephone only. I couldn't find it in the village. They didn't cater for allergies or special dietary requirements or provide breakfast early enough in the morning so I couldn't make use of them. Given the description "Studio" I expected the accommodation to be small, but it was actually rather smaller than the impression given by the photos..The drip tray in the mini fridge was overflowing with water when I arrived. I had to keep a regular check on it thereafter and empty it regularly throughout my stay.

Great location and a very well equipped and very clean apartment.
