Kalnmuižas pils

We had a wonderful one-night stay and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The property is beautifully renovated and located in a stunning countryside setting with lovely views and a charming garden. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and having a private sauna and jacuzzi made the stay extra special. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was of excellent quality, beautifully presented, reasonably priced, and the staff provided outstanding service. Breakfast also was 11/10. Communication throughout our stay was smooth, and everyone was welcoming and professional. We would happily return.

Only a few minor details prevented this from being a perfect stay. There was no minibar or small fridge to keep drinks cold, which would have been convenient. We also noticed that some details of the room cleaning could be improved, as we found a clipped fingernail on the table and the toilet brush was not in the best condition. The bathroom had a jacuzzi but no separate shower, and the shower hose attached to the jacuzzi was quite short, making it a little inconvenient for a quick morning shower. These were relatively small issues that did not impact our overall impression.

Location, staff, premises and breakfast.

The breakfast was exceptional — we had experienced it before, and it was one of the main reasons we decided to return. Excellent location, very quiet surroundings, and friendly, helpful staff. We also loved the “cat in charge,” who added a lot of charm to the stay.

The room was a bit too hot at times. It would also benefit from a few small repairs and touch-ups for things that have worn out over time. Nothing critical, but noticeable.
