Pension Kinouta

If you're looking for a place to recharge your energy level, disconnect from your hectic and busy life ... and from the world potentially! ...then Kinouta is the place. What I really loved about it is that it is an authentic Japanese house managed by a very kind, caring, helpful and discreet host. It is located in the midst of beautiful nature surrounded by an equally beautiful wild garden where biodiversity is thriving. We spent 5 nights in pension Kinouta and felt the quiet surroundings were very therapeutic and regenerative. The bathroom includes a big hot tub with views over the garden and the kitchen offers space and tea and coffee facilities as well as a microwave. If you need anything Takashi, the host, is only happy to oblige. The only thing I would emphasize on is that you need a car to get around, and explore the surroundings. There is plenty to do and see. I highly recommend to come and have a look if you plan to visit the area!

Uno dei nostri luoghi preferiti al mondo. La casa ed il giardino sono veramente stupendi! Sembra di essere in un cartone animato di Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli). Questo è un posto del cuore e saremmo rimasti lì per tutto il nostro viaggio. Si respira un'aria magica e di tranquillità. Takashi è stato un padrone di casa eccezionale, ci ha accolti e trattati con estrema cura e gentilezza. Speriamo di poter tornare in futuro!

The owner was amazing. He was patient, kind, very helpful and friendly. He also makes great breakfast that easily carried me through the day of various activities. The place was quiet, pastoral views, comfortable, and has indoor warm bath for soaking.

北海道のペンションや民宿全般に言えることと思うが、気候変動で猛暑の夏が普通になってくると部屋にエアコンが必要だと思う。窓を開けていても暑くて寝苦しい。
