We stayed at this hotel recently and had a really lovely time. The main reason for our positive experience is the staff, who were absolutely brilliant.
We were travelling with our baby, and from the moment we arrived they made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after. A special mention has to go to Yasser, who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and made us feel truly valued as guests — he deserves real recognition for his excellent service. Ana was also wonderful and incredibly friendly with our baby, which meant a lot to us.
The hotel facilities were very good overall. Breakfast and dinner were a bit repetitive, but considering the price we paid, it was still very good value and certainly didn’t detract from our experience.
Overall, a great stay and we would happily return — especially thanks to the fantastic staff

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Royal Blue Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. Breathtaking!!!
The property was breathtaking - I have absolutely no complaints.

Dinner in Terrace restaurant was very poor
6.0 / 10.0
thought the hotel had less staff than last year which was obvious at breakfast etc waiting for tables to be cleaned etc the pool could have been warmer outside restaurant vista. toilets in spa don’t lock and was walked in by two women when trying to change in the changing rooms, this is inadequate for a five star

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how welcoming and well-maintained everything was. The atmosphere exudes comfort and elegance, creating the perfect environment for a truly relaxing getaway.
Every detail exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay special — their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The buffet was outstanding, with an impressive selection and excellent quality that made every meal a delight.
This hotel has truly become one of my absolute favorites. There is nothing not to love — every aspect contributed to an unforgettable experience. While the location isn’t directly in Old Town, reaching it was effortless thanks to the fantastic public transportation located just a short five-minute walk away.
I’m already looking forward to returning and reliving this wonderful experience.
Love everything!

Proximity to the sea, sun loungers always available at multiple locations. Bed and pillows were perfect. Toiletries in the bathroom were L’occitane.
Our room (5308) had an amazing sea view facing the sunset.
The bath towels are rather small and thin which didn’t really match the rest of the 5 star hotel room feeling

Rooms were spotless, clean communal areas. Lovely walk outside to promenade and to lapad.
Breakfast, not the best quality, but seems like this is a Croatia wide things. Machine coffee, too many people.

Food, staff, pool areas
I felt the spa was unprofessional - no slippers provided or gowns or disposable underwear… the bathroom and change room is shared with pool users and is small.

Beautiful view from our room. The room was spacious and clean and well appointed.
Both Booking.com and the Royal Blue Hotel failed to indicate that, unlike the pictures on the website, it was not an individual hotel as it was made to look. It was part of four hotels in a row owned by the same group. There was nothing individual about this hotel at all. Had we known this we would not have booked.
All four hotels took breakfast in the same restaurant and after day one of a pretty unpleasant experience, we found that there was one other smaller restaurant serving breakfast. This restaurant situation is not enough for four hotels worth of people and the staff were swamped with people trying to help themselves to a buffet breakfast. We went in June, goodness knows what itwill be like in July and August! Glad I won’t be there.
We pretty much looked after ourselves whilst we were there, the staff at the adult only rooftop pool and bar were unwilling to change the techno loud music for something a little more palatable. As I have mentioned we were there in June, they did not read the room and look at their clientele. Most people were over 40 and quite a few of them were over 60. Also, don’t most people carry their own music with them these days? It is not necessary to blast out loud music all day long round the pool where people are trying to relax just to amuse the staff.
We only ate at the hotel complex on one night. The food was good. From our observation, most of the restaurants were pretty empty in the evenings, totally lacking atmosphere.

The rooms are lovely , good size and very comfortable. The sea view was amazing really beautiful. Also very comfortable bed
On arrival no one explained to us about breakfast and gave us really bad directions where the rooms were. We got lost and so did many others the layout there is confusing
The pool was sometimes dirty and the staff just chatted rather than clean it
Small thing I know but this luxury hotel locks the ice creams up ! Really are we in Benidorm !
The breakfast was like an assault course so busy but nice food

The buffet breakfast was a major let down.

Fabulous hotel, rooms clean & spacious. Breakfast busy but well organized, champagne at breakfast was a lovely treat. Location amazing, loved jumping in & out of the sea.
The room key didn't work sometimes & you had to go to reception to have it resolved. Rooftop bar could be cleaner, menus a little dirty & tables not cleaned in a timely manner ahead of new guests.

Fantastic location close the old down Dubrovnik.
The views are incredible, as are the facilities and restaurants.
It was perfect

The room was excellent, we had a Seaview room on a high floor with Sea view and Balcony and it was great. AC worked well, and was whisper quiet. Comfortable bed. Shower over bath was fine.
The room was a really generous and spacious size which was nice.
There are several restaurants available. Most are good (Except Zoe, which I will come to). Have a kids free pool on the rooftop was heaven for us, as it's not always fun to have other people's screaming kids around.
Breakfast was great, and included each day and had lots of options. Fresh fruit, hot breakfast and eggs and omelettes cooked to order!
Overall a fantastic experience.
The onsite restaurant "Zoe" was the only disappointment. My wife ordered a glass of Prosecco and they only filled the Prosecco glass a third, as if it's a glass of Red or something. Odd, and the only time we experienced this (the other places all poured a normal glass). Not good given the high end price.
I had the Octopus Salad, and again. An expensive disappointment, with the meal being 80% tomatoes, lettuce and a few token, small bits of Octopus.
It really should have been called a Tomato salad with sprinkling of Octopus. Very inadequate.
We didn't go back to Zoe , I think the staff managing that one restaurant need to do a lot of improving.

Beautiful room and amazing views, friendly staff. Lots of restaurants within the complex a couple of minutes walk, the buratta pizza is a must have! Lovely roof top pool and bar
Distance to old town and port - needed to get a taxi (only around €10-€15 though)

Good lovation and facilities
1. Breakfast - fruit qll iver-ripe and almost rotten, not what one would expect in a 5-star.
2. Leaking shower screen - would flood the bathroom each time
6.0 / 10.0
The rooftop pool bar was really cool, breakfast was good and the room was spacious and had a lovely view, all the staff were also lovely.
The room was a bit dirty and had dammaged elements (ripped curtains etc) and all the stuff in the minibar had been half eaten and not replaced before we got there.
Also the price of the restaurants is way to expensive for what you’re being served and all the menus are virtually the same.
We also couldn’t get an iron at any point during the trip even though we asked a few times, also couldn’t get any water from housekeeping.

The complex is very nice. The room was big enough. The breakfast was very very good, the pools were great. It was helpful to be able to charge our car.
Very good food and very good service in all the restaurants. We would definitely come back!
The ventilation in the bathroom was not working, the door of the bathroom needed some adjustment. And the coffee, come on, guys, put an espresso machine in the room, it is not that expensive….it is a five stars hotel.
I didn’t appreciate that some people that were not staying at our hotel were using the pool.

Breakfast was outstanding with a huge variety to choose from and beautiful views from the terrace. The pools were nice - a decent main pool and smaller one with great views on the roof and 2 sea water pools near the sea - there was a fifth pool at the sister hotel next door. Beds were comfy.
One of the staff added his own tip to the bill and came round saying a figure, a paid on my phone and saw a different figure to what he said flash up. I asked for a receipt and it showed what he'd done. I found this really frustrating as all the other staff has given me the card reader and I'd added a tip. I didn't like the feeling of being scammed and it put me off the roof bar which I'd been enjoying. The hotel has a lot of good staff so it's a real shame when they bring down the experience.
The towel provision was pretty poor for a family room and we started with just two bath towels.

The beds were very comfortable and most of the stuff was very friendly.
Very disappointing stay – far from 5-star quality.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our stay at Royal Blue Hotel in Dubrovnik was deeply disappointing and even dangerous at times.
First, the hotel garage is extremely poorly designed and unsafe. The hotel staff initially parked the car for us, but when we were retrieving it, I followed their instructions and ended up damaging my vehicle due to the impossibly tight and steep exit lane. There was no proper warning, and their handling of the situation was very unprofessional.
Secondly, the toilet door in our room was faulty and the door handle literally came off and fell on my wife's foot, which could have caused a serious injury. No one from the staff seemed genuinely concerned when we reported it.
The pool areas were another letdown. The water was murky and visibly full of algae, making it unappealing and possibly unhygienic. Tiles around the pool were broken or loose, creating a real tripping hazard.
To make matters worse, the hotel’s general manager responded to our complaints in an very arrogant and unprofessional manner. Instead of taking responsibility or showing concern, he dismissed our issues with a patronizing attitude, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.
This hotel markets itself as a 5-star facility, but in reality, the maintenance is severely lacking, and safety standards are very questionable.
I cannot recommend it and would strongly advise future guests to consider other options in Dubrovnik.

Beautiful property. We stayed in a room with a balcony and had a perfect view of the sunset. Breakfast was extensive with a variety of food. The promenade gave you safe and easy assess to restaurants.
Room was hot at night. I guess they turn off the air conditioning while you sleep.

The room, view, balcony, and omelet stand at breakfast.
9.0 / 10.0
Spacious, airy room with large balcony and one of the most stunning sunset views I’ve ever had (photos added are separate days) - worth every penny to upgrade. Bed was large & super comfortable and bathroom also large and well appointed and there was plenty of storage space. I travelled with my sister & had requested a twin sea view, but all sea view are 1 bed only but the hotel had thoughtfully provided 2 quilts which is a game changer and made things much more comfortable. Staff were amazing throughout, so friendly and helpful. We had a maintenance issue during our stay that was resolved promptly. Not all facilities were available yet (rooftop bar & pool, some restaurants) as they open from May, so we didn’t experience these. Bus to old town right outside the hotel and a a beautiful promenade running outside along the stunning coastline with options for restaurants / cafes / bars.
Nothing to point out at all

The room was big and new, The bed was comfortable. There was lot of variety in breakfast. Has a beautiful boardwalk with restaurants and bars.
Had to wait 10 minutes to be sitted in the breakfast room and another 15 minutes in line for omelettes .

The Buffet is very poor since it’s a 5star resort, although the staff is so helpful.

Breakfast plentiful once down early.
Access to sea via steps and ladder, very good.
Rooms big and clean with nice toiletries and good air conditioning.
Some people hold sun loungers all day with towels and head off on boats trips and day trips.
Check-in staff didn't explain where breakfast was or where any facilities were. We got lost trying to find breakfast. Another guest had to show us.
9.0 / 10.0
Amazing views from the deluxe room, sunset out of this world with the full drop windows allowing the perfect place to watch the sun disappear in the distance
There wasn't any food available to order in the hotel during the day so if you were by the pool and wanted a snack you had to pack up and leave, not ideal when you are just in a relaxing mood.
The staff are 50/50 some wonderful and very friendly others hard faced and somewhat unwelcoming.
