Wind in the Willows Overnight

Really quaint and clean. Owners were very welcoming and the decor was charming.

It was so beautiful

It was roomy, but was furnished well for comfort. Despite the quirks that come with the age of the house, it was so well maintained and spotless that it was one of the most cozy stays we've had. No breakfast was included, but when we checked in we found delicious home-made strawberry muffins and a baggie of other snacks, the coffee pods were well stocked. The bathroom was very clean, a small hand-made soap was provided along with other standard toiletries. The bed and bedding were immensely comfortable. I was very close to asking where the bedding was from because they were so soft.

We had a great stay for the weekend. Everything was just as described. Unfortunately there was a bad storm one of the nights we were booked. We had been at a local eatery, The Heartbreak Hotel, and the power went out from the storm. Lucky for us the restaurant has a back up generator so we were able to eat and enjoy our night. Hesitantly we left afterwards, unsure what we would find at our Inn as far as the no power situation. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see welcoming porch lights shining brightly! The proprietor's were prepared for the storm and equipped with a large enough generator to power all the rooms at the Inn, while the rest of the town was in complete darkness. We were able to safely enter and relax in the comfort of our room for the night. We had The Cottage room ... Perfect for two and decorated very chic and no so shabby🙂

Not a dislike at all, but just a suggestion of some more local attractions and updated restaurants/diners menus in the room would have been helpful for out-of-towners We didn't worry too much as the was wifi available
