The Jefferson House, 5 mi to wedding venues, center of town on the town green

We stayed there to go to Ichiro’s Hall Of Fame induction in Cooperstown. Great old house right next door to an ice cream stand.

Perfect home for our family to stay for a wedding and other activities at Seven Ponds Farm. Meticulous, charming, well stocked with updated appliances. The best part was the luxurious beds. Also enjoyed driving the back roads to savor the peak time to enjoy the fall foliage. Definitely recommend it.

Beautiful home, pictures don’t do it justice. Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding at a local venue. Very clean well stocked coffee/cream eggs spices and other staples. A couple of downfalls, not much hot water gets cold after 1 shower, with 8 people staying and can hold up to 11 it’s a problem, imagine getting ready for a wedding. We had to take cold showers. And upstairs is hot, 1 air conditioner in 1 upstairs bedroom and windows can’t be opened. Other than those 2 items it was a perfect stay. I wouldn’t mind no air conditioning if windows could be opened and if there were fans available.

For the most part the property was quite charming and the common spaces were much more spacious than what I was expected from the photos. The decor was rustic and farmhouse-y. The back deck had string lights and overlooked a pretty view. We were looking forward to using the fire pit, but it was quite overgrown and seemed unsafe to use. The downstairs bedrooms were quite nice. The main bedroom was bright and airy with beautiful beams, skylights, and view of the property. The upstairs bedrooms were quite pitiful however. Low ceilings, small windows, and dated carpets and bedspreads. There was one fewer room than was listed on the property and 1-2 fewer beds. The door to the "bedroom" with the bunkbeds could not close because it would hit the bedframe and was nested inside another bedroom. As we were traveling with 9 adult friends, the bed count created a BIG issue and we had to purchase air mattresses to accommodate the number of people. I had contacted the host upon arrival and she had informed me that had never been an issue - I'm confused though because #of bedrooms and bed count does not match the listing. All in all we had a good time and made due with the bed situation, it was unfortunate because otherwise it would have been a great stay!
