La Casa Sul Sasso

The property owner provided the detailed help to find the place and also arranged us the late check in as we requested. Room was clean and comfy, especially bed, really soft. Interesting interior, cozy. Great and filling breakfast, even though it was different place, friendly owner.

We had really hard time finding a parking spot, got lucky being not to dragged from the spot as next morning there was established marketplace. Not very comfortable to carry all the bags through a narrow staircase. The shower area had enough space to do a thing but the design itself ended a puddle in the center of the room. There was some ants in the room but didn't caused any problem.

The host was really nice, friendly and fortcoming. Explained how to access the accommodation, where to park and how to get to the beach. The main bed was very comfy, the bunk bed so-so. The common kitchen area was nice with tv and netflix access - pleasant during siesta.

The main dislike was that the personell at the breakfast (which is at another location than the rooms) could not speak a word in English. Hence, it was not clear at all what is included in the breakfast. We got a two-sided menu in Italian: on one side a list with food, on the other side more or less the same list but with prices. Also, other tables had bread on the table we didn’t… we ended up having a croissant each and juice. I am sure there would have been more included. Then, as we were leaving early on last day we asked if it’s possible to get a croissant for take-away instead of regular breakfast.. unfortunately was not possible and the shops also closed before 7pm .. so no food for us for the drive. Further, the ventilation in the bathroon is not solved well at all and we had a bit trouble finding a place to keep our stuff - a table would be nice, but I guess no space for it. Also, that the car was parked 200m from the room was a bit incovenient.

It was not far from the bus stop to get bus to lake como very convenient.

out the dryer does not work had to leave my clothes there and though I would collect them when I will be back because was running late as if knew the dryer wouldn’t work I would have skipped to wash my clothes. As I left them there I received my msg saying I can not leave them there I have to remove them by same night otherwise they will sort this out I found this is quite rude I would have collected them anyway when returned. Also mentioned the dryer was not working and there is nothing where to hang my clothes to get them dry I was told as they are not aware of the situation everything is working they just did not believe me which is not very good customer service. The cooker was not working when asked to the cleaner the had no clue and was not able to understand me as she speaks very little Italian and no English at all. I communicated this to the office they said again this should be working. I was told when I left few papers on the floor as the room was not cleaned for 2 days I will get charged £40 extra due to condition I left the room in I would say if the room has not been cleaned for 2 days and I have 1 years old with me how would you expect the room to be left in the same condition and just picking up few rappers from the floor cost £40 I do not understand I have never had this kind of experience I have stay and booked with booking.com a lot I stay in Switzerland 3 days and came to Italy before never ever had any issue but this time I did not like it. em there I have to remove them by same night otherwise they will sort this out I found this is quite rude I would have collected them anyway when returned.
