Location - A short walk from the central station. Still manageable even with a little bit stairs up and down required. We purposely selected the hotel with a little more walk from St Marco Plaza, so we could keep away from the crowd and noise even in day time. Room / facilities - The room features classic Italian-style décor with a nostalgic charm, creating an elegant and timeless atmosphere. The riverside view with the balcony is definitely what we were looking for in Venice. Breakfast - Quite a variety of choices Staff / services - All we met were cheerful and helpful. The hotel also offered welcome drinking and snacks to ensure a relaxing settle down in our room before our exploration of Venice.

3rd time staying at this hotel, had the same suite as last time. Wont be going back the ambience in the hotel has changed .

There has been a lot of staff changeover in the last couple of years, particularly in the evening staff. A lot of the evening staff were not Italian and did not speak English or Italian well enough to understand the words I spoke. They did not understand when I asked for things like "a jug of milk", as I did one evening so that I could make coffee in the room (didnt want the the small UHT pots) and they also struggled to understand the word "beer" one evening. The bar staff did not understand the word "Aperol". Problem is I don't speak Hindi or Tamil so I couldn't communicate properly. Never had that problem before in this hotel. I chose this hotel on the strength of lovely experiences previously, just wasn't the same feeling this time.
