Chalet Mer

The house is new (~5 years old or so), clean, spacious, well decorated, and the full kitchen well stocked with what you need to survive (k-cup and regular coffee maker!). AC worked great (though windows could easily be opened for fresh air), and its location within the neighborhood great as well--with the pool being right behind it, and said pool area has nice gas grills to use. The wi-fi worked well too, and there were TVs in several parts of the house (though there were some issues with them--see below). The bikes were handy to have, and the neighborhood just a 10min max ride to the commercial area nearby and beach, via the paved pathway along the 30A. So overall a nice place to rent for a family getaway.

The living room TV audio would periodically skip as you were watching, which was a bit annoying, and we couldn't resolve it through rebooting the internet. It's probably an easy fix, and we didn't watch enough to make it an issue, but...Separately, the TV in the upstairs bedroom didn't seem to be connected, so my daughter couldn't watch up there. A couple other issues for us were that the master bedroom bed is really cush--too soft for people who like a firmer mattress, so we really didn't sleep well on it. Also, we didn't realize when booking it, but there's no dining or breakfast table--just the bar on the kitchen island. That wasn't ideal for us, as we like to eat our meals together around a table. As for the pool area, it's good they regulate it, but beware the guard there will make you leave if you don't have your wristband on!
