A very convenient place to stay.
Clean, modern, location
The rooms can use better lighting, too dim in the room at night.

Beautiful setting
Location is great. Walking distance to many bars and eateries.
A lot of stairs to climb. Definitely not ADA compliant.

Close to a lot of locations even close to things in downtown LA. Clean and nice looking room better than a hotel room.
We stayed at this place to attend a festival being held just a few blocks away it was perfect for what we needed. A close walk to the festival, a clean place to sleep, and a nice location. Email or text or even call if you need assistance they will do their best to accommodate you!

Not Bad
Amazing location and well put together.
Overall a nice quiet stay in a good area.
Smaller than expected and the toilet hadn't been cleaned, hosts were unresponsive and no iron.

I walked into building and decided immediately not to stay. It appeared clean but the location was secluded and felt uns
It’s not ideal for solo female travelers. This is an Airbnb hostel with no staff on site.

10/10 would recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. The property was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The process from check in to check out was pretty seamless and the host/staff were great.
No complaints. Just one thing to keep in mind if you don’t have a car and will be using Ubers etc - the property is a little tricky to get to. In our experience it helps to request the ride at the back of the property (where you’ll be picked up) as it provides a more accurate pick up location.

Cute property, great location, but no sound insulation and not super clean...
Nice to have a kitchen and laundry, and as someone who's lived in LA, Sunset Hill is a cute spot to be staying in off Sunset but on its own little hidden path. If it was super cheap for my travel dates I'd stay again.
Other guests mentioned the sound problems and I agree, this is worse than most places (you can hear the guest in the next room even whispering), and folks going up the stairs to get to their rooms etc). Also, common spaces are not super clean.

Great location for Dodger games. The room is cute and has what you need
The room was super cute and had everything we needed. The location was great for our purpose. At night it would be nice to have more light out front. We had no problem parking but it is very limited.

A beautiful place in a rough area
The management were very accomodating of moving me to a ground level room at the last minute and able to get me into the room ahead of check in time. The facilities were very clean the staff were very thorough.
No cooling or ventilation in the room itself, the accomodation is not very accessible if you are carrying 23kg of luggage, luckily the staff were able to move me to a room on the ground floor otherwise I would not have been able to get my luggage up two whole flights of stairs, it being my first time in LA and my first exposure to the USA, the area it’s in it’s a bit sketchy, on the route out to the street I often passed used toilet paper and human faeces.

Good Location, But Cleanliness Needs Serious Improvement
Great area to stay
Unfortunately, the place was not clean at all. The floor was very dirty, and we even found a bunch of hair in the shower drain, which was quite off-putting. On top of that, the bed sheet was dirty when we arrived, which made it hard to feel comfortable.
We only stayed for two nights and were honestly relieved to leave afterwards. The photos online are nicely staged – very “Instagram 2017” – but the reality doesn’t quite match. The furniture feels worn, the paint is peeling off in places (like the tap and bed), and overall, it feels a bit neglected.
I’d only recommend this place for a short overnight stay if you really want to be near Silver Lake – but don’t expect much comfort or cleanliness.

Relaxing & quiet
Everything was so convenient and close by. Building and rooms was so clean. Room service made sure bed was made and clean towels 🫶🏽🖤

aesthetically pleasing, but lacking on substance
The location was excellent, and we had no problem with parking. The facility was very clean, and appeared as described. The balcony was a nice touch for breakfasts.
There is virtually no sound insulation, so you will hear other people walking around, in the kitchen, etc., and they will hear you. The kitchen is clean but sparse - don't expect a full set of cooking implements, and we had a hard time finding any kind of knife (turns out there was one butter knife and one chef's knife, but they were missing a few of the days).
The room looked nice, but lacking in thoughtful details. For example, the shower door, when opened fully, hit the light switch in the bathroom, turning it off. The bed was very creaky and the mattress is not what I would expect from a modern facility. The side table was pretty but very wobbly. The AC unit seemed to work only minimally.
DEFINITELY not a place to stay if you are mobility impaired. The alley is treacherous, and the front walk is a liability nightmare. Hallway lights leading to our room didn't work.
They use some kind of scent diffuser, which makes the whole place smell like a clothing boutique. Not a bad smell, but pervasive, including in the room. We had to put the diffusers under the bathroom sink b/c the smell was making us sneeze in the room, and was very strong.
Overall, might be a good place to stay if you're single and in town for a longer stint for work or something. For a couple on vacation, it didn't have the comforts that we were hoping for.

We really enjoyed our stay here.
The location was great, close to many coffee shops, stores and restaurants. The house itself was very cute and clean. The bedroom was much more spacious than your average hotel. If I were to return to LA I would stay here again! We had a rental and we were always able to find street parking within a block.
It's a little tough to find the front of the place but we always went in through the back alley as that was easier for us! There are a couple sketchy RVs parked out front but no one bothered us.

Not bad but definitely worse than expected
Location was good, parking was easy, and it was quiet within the building. Given the price, it's a decent value.
- Service was horrible (emails took days, calls were never answered, and there's no one on site)
- It's basically a shared bnb, which is not ideal if you're looking for privacy. Our room was right off of a common area, which made us a little uneasy the whole time
- The room didn't feel clean (stains on the bedding, broken handles on the furniture)
- There was a lack of basic things (no iron, no safe)
- The building didn't feel very secure -- the lock to the building was open several times when we came home (since it relies on people to manually lock it when they leave)

A home away from home
I think this place is great for long stays in LA. You’re well connected to several parts of the city by car. And when you don’t feel like driving there’s a lot to do and see within walking distance. This is our second stay here and we’ll most likely stay here again on our next visit.

Not as advertised ,extremely expensive for what you got . Bed not an adequate size and very uncomfortable.
Nothing
It wasn’t as it appeared on the internet the bed was extremely small my husband is 6ft 2 inches he didn’t even fit into the bed .The bathroom was very small my husband couldn’t even stand up straight in it .
We had to stay the first night because we had travelled up from Vegas but we stayed in another hotel the 2nd night even though we had paid for the 2 nights.

Superb
Nice house converted into semi-automated BnB in cute private hill neighborhood. Chill/ trendy area near downtown. Public transit and hiking trails nearby
Floors are a bit thin (you can hear people walking around). Minor: no bathroom in common areas

Good accommodation with great public transport links to Downtown and Santa Monica
We were slightly worried when booking this hotel due to some reviews on guests having parties when staying here, however we experienced nothing of the sort.
We were provided clear and simple instructions before arriving on how to enter the property. The property itself was quiet with everyone keeping themselves to themselves. There was a communal kitchen and seating area which was very modern and a great option for those looking to cook their own food. The room was also equipped with a fridge and kettle meaning you didn't necessarily need to use the communal kitchen if you weren't looking to cook.
We also found the washing facilities very beneficial which were located in the communal area. Washing detergent was provided at property so all you needed to do was pay us use the machine (the machine took quarters). This was a great addition for us personally as were traveling so needed to wash our clothes and being able to do it on site made life easier. Cleaners also visited the site daily to clean the communal areas and any rooms that had been requested to be cleaned which kept everything feeling very fresh.
The location of this property was ideal for commuting into downtown LA or to Santa Monica beach by bus with bus stops being near enough outside of the property.
The walls in the rooms were slightly thin meaning you were able to here other guests conversations or when they started their shower however this wasn't much of an issue.

Chic and cosy house on a hill
Great design and location. Loved the small touches of facilities eg. keypad doors so you don't need keys, lockers for convenience, hipster drip coffee maker, fridge and comfy bed.
Great WiFi for those needing to work remotely. Shared kitchen space and porch perfect for longer business stays.
It was a bit tricky to find when arriving at night, but details given to find it was clear so we managed anyway.

The bed was extremely comfortable.
Despite detailed instructions, the property was extremely difficult to find in the dark.

Nice room and facilities but hard to find, poor access, lack of communication.
We liked the room and common areas, the general location worked well for us, and we appreciated the relative quiet given a fairly busy street (the inn sits well above the street with trees between).
Our frustration with this property has everything to do with the complete lack of signage, confusing directions and map, and the poor condition of the walkways leading to the entrance. We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel, had a hard time finding the inn, had to park on the street some distance from the entrance—and couldn't find the entrance because there were NO signs: nothing visible from the street and no sign on the gate, which we finally found in the dark because it is beneath dense trees, is not lit at all, and is only accessible by going up the steps of a neighboring building, then down a short, dark path. (We were unable to reach anyone at the inn to locate the property or clarify directions, but a woman talking on the phone in the doorway of another building in an alley behind the property at least confirmed that we had found the right place.) Once through the gate, the pathway to the entrance is in poor condition: badly cracked pavement leading to yet another poorly lit gate, and then a number of steps up to the main entrance—challenging to say the least when carrying bags and hauling wheeled suitcases.

great find, great view, would come again!
smelled good. great design. some parking in back. deck space. overall clean and new. great view! bedding was nice. loves the sink in the room
we think the cleaner took our food from the fridge and we were staying another day - we were going to eat it!
the bathroom wasn’t as clean as we hoped but it was fine.
saw a silverfish scoot across the floor in the room 😐 not a huge deal

Meh
Nice design/decor and we loved the area. Great kitchen space.
Very unclean, lots of dust and hair everywhere (pics taken).
Style over substance; cheap broken bed, we kept sinking into the middle, my partner woke up each day with a sore back, we realised on the last night of our stay the piece of wood supporting the bed was broken; inadequate/questionable lighting; and odd a/c system.
Overall, disappointed. My partner and I were travelling round CA, I was looking forward to this place and I thought I'd spend a little extra for our last stay but it didn't live up to expectations.
