    I’m a South African who arrived at 1pm. The receptionist coldly and callously told me I must come back at 3pm. I was told in the presence of my American friend who drove me there that I cannot wait inside as the area must be kept clear for lunch. I had to wait outside. My friend after a few minutes went in and appealed to the lady to allow me in. She agreed. At about 1;30 she asked for my credit card and passport plus $45 for an early check in. I said that’s too much . She clearly told me that she has to clear out the area. I had no option now but to wait outside. I stood outside in the heat and about 2pm I went in and expressed my disappointment that I’m a visitor being treated inhumanly and insisted I’m going to sit inside and will not be treated like an animal. No waiting area , the evening I was bitten by mosquitoes and Jesse at reception tells me they don’t have any repellent he’s never heard of many hotel that provides any🤣🤣🤣he’s definitely not a traveller. The room smells of smoke and I clearly requested a non smoking room. The breakfast was very low budget ice cold bagels, waffle machine, muffins little butters and jams with tea and coffee. Very limited. I won’t recommend this place and definitely won’t be using the Wyndham group hotels on any of my travels. I would have complained about the smelly room but after hearing a family told that they are not going to be refunded for early check out as their room was also smelling of cigarettes I decided to stomach it and spray the room with my beautiful smelling aftershave. My recent travels to Mauritius we arrived 6 hours early. The Riu hotel allowed us to store our luggage and use all their facilities until 2 pm check in time. Wow that’s amazing service. The manager at Wyndham responded by saying I chose to wait outside 🤣🤣🤣my American friend found the manager’s response very amusing. Very unfriendly staff especially the female receptionist and extremely unhelpful.

    The hotel itself is not bad, it's just that the people above me were running the whole night, banging their loud *ss feet. The building does not have good soundproofing, so I only got 5 hours of sleep before a very important appointment
