The only good thing about this was location right in the village
I reached out to Vacasa to complain about this booking and only got a bot and never received any appropriate response. The condo unit was outdated, poorly maintained, and not thoroughly cleaned. An extension cord was plugged in right by the sink where it could have easily fallen in and electrocuted someone. There was a large 6 inch rip in the carpet that had been covered up with a rug. The carpet was extremely old, worn, and dirty. We saw what looked like dried blood on the baseboard, items from former guests that showed the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. One pair of curtains was hanging from the window and unable to close. The area behind the bed had inches of dust and look like it hadn't been vacuumed in years. The walls and ceiling of the unit were paper thin and we could hear the upstairs neighbors loudly. When we complained to Vacasa the bot said that they were unable to control other units because they were not managed by Vacasa. We asked to be moved to an upper unit so no one would be above us . Initially the bot said no that we were checking out too soon to change rooms. When I responded that we were not checking out for another two days and we should be able to change it said it would get back to us and I never heard anything after that. Honestly this was a nightmare!

It was pretty quiet. A little outdated.
We had a huge struggle getting the tv to work. No idea how we got it work. Just pushing lots of buttons could not get air to work. Just left the balcony door open for fresh air

Good location with lots to do. Great family environment. Would stay here again for sure.
It’s dated and the bathroom is small.
4.0 / 10.0
The location was awesome with a parking spot also being able to use the hot tubs after a long day on the slopes!
Very outdated facilities, and uncomfortable beds. The room definitely didn’t fit in with the rest of Northstar resorts atmosphere.
8.0 / 10.0
The location of it is perfect, you can walk right out into the village and then ski lifts. Parking onsite is a huge bonus to not having to drive every morning or afternoon, saves a lot of time. Plenty of hot water in winter.
Very out dated appliances, beds. It was a tight fit for two people I can’t imagine 4.

This is an older room so although it was clean there is wear and tear. The two beds made the room very crowded. I can’t imagine 4 people with ski gear fitting into the room! Some basic kitchen utensils were missing like spoon (don’t need 5 corkscrews. The bed was saggy. Although the place is close to the lift, you still have to carry your gear a ways and up steps.

I liked the location
I didn’t like how they treated us. I didn’t like that they dismissed our concerns. I didn’t like that they didn’t do what they said they would do. I didn’t like that the bathroom light was out and had to use it with the door open. I didn’t like that they didn’t fix it or the internet. I didn’t like them not calling back when they said they would with a manager or anyone for that matter.

convenient location
hard to locate, booking confirmation did not include physical address just door code. None of the emails included the address either and the property houses 8 buildings so it was rather difficult to find. Also Northstar staff was unfamiliar with “Vacasa” and were unhelpful.

the location
it was hard to find where you go to get to room

The location was fantastic. Having parking was really important. Access to the rec center would be good for people. We didn't make it over there.
This was a small studio in a fantastic location but the accommodations were badly in need of an update. We've stayed in many tiny Tahoe units that have been updated with nice tile, granite counter tops, and cabinets in the bathroom, shower and kitchenette areas. This place had a janky motel style 1 cup coffee pot that leaked all over. It had a huge microwave but no other cooking appliances. It would really be great if they mounted a smaller microwave on a shelf above the counter and installed a one or two burner induction cooktop.
The furniture was 70s style contemporary wood. Very blah.
The carpet was industrial grade and looked like it was 30 years old.
With all the fees, the room was $800/night but it felt like a $69 motel. The location is worth an upcharge but not by that much.
If the owners can't afford to remodel and upgrade the furnishings, they should probably list it for rent on a platform that doesn't have such high service fees (Vacasa?) I would have been fine with paying $400 a night for the convenience of staying in the Village but $800 a night was definitely excessive for that unit. I know there are several other units in that building that have been updated that rent for similar total rate + fees, some for less.
This isn't meant to be a total takedown of this property but I think the owners need some honest feedback from a long time season pass holder who stays at a wide variety of lodging types at various price points. I paid $650/ night for a lovely remodeled 1 bedroom with full kitchen and similar amenities (parking, next to slope, rec center access) but that also had Keurig Coffee, fully stocked pantry, board games, big screen TV, and beds enough for 6 people) on Wolf Creek in January.
It was a fine place to sleep but it was a depressing place to hang out.

Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom fan mad a a high shreking noise, was not able to use. Hair dryer was not working at all, tried multiple plugs. Gum stuck on side if table. Carpet was burnt in the bathroom. 3 different controls for the TV no directions. Openened kitchen cuppord door and door fell, hanging only on one hinge. Left over stuff in the freezer from last occupants. Very expensive 3 day work trip. Will never stay here again.
It is old and needs repairs.

Location to ski lift
Bathroom ceiling had mold. I don’t think the silk type bedspreads are changed between guests. The bedding is dated and the throw pillows are not sanitary in this Covid era.

Dated furniture. Heater too loud. There was mold above shower

Great location
The room was absolutely out of order at check-in: dirty floors with no traces of cleaning; worn and torn fabrics around the beds frames; metal bed frames missed protection pads so my wife injured her foot hitting the bed's angle
Elevator was out of service so we had to carry our bulky luggage otonthe 2nd floor with no assistance (however, the property management offered some compensation for this issue)
