The Newport Lofts - 617 Thames Street

Very nice, modern, clean. Location was great.

The downstairs power sockets did not work in the bathroom or a few other areas to plug in a hairdryer. A slight inconvenience. If it was an off fuse, we didn’t know where to find the fuse box. Our travel schedule didn’t give us time to contact the property managers.

Location was great and lots of space in apartment

The property was very nice, very clean well decorated and comfortable.

couple problems we had was given the wrong code and got locked out. Fortunately the staff responded quickly by phone and reset account I got in. But it was an awful feeling to be locked out and have all our stuff inside including our car keys. The second problem was we had someone come in to check the outlets and breakers that had stopped working. They came in while we were gone but neglected to lock the door upon leaving I just felt that was unacceptable. otherwise everything was great.

I liked that the loft was located within walking distance from the retail stores & restaurant/bars. I also like the layout of the house, the rooms & the fact that each room have a modern en suite bathrooms.

Even though the loft was nice over-all I didn’t felt safe sleeping inside because the building is right on the street level, it’s immediately right off the sidewalk/curve. The owner of the property should invest in window guards and a better front door lock on the door. I felt like in any given moment someone could kick the door open (due to the one lock on the main loft entrance door). Lastly, The furnitures could (sofa/chairs/rugs) have been newer or more modern.
