Exceptional from beginning to end!

While the location, facilities, amenities, and cleanliness of Plunge are all outstanding, the thing that really sets it apart is the staff. Louis (beach server), Brian (Backflip bartender) and Amber (front desk night shift) were all amazing. Chris and Suzette at the front desk made us feel like family from the moment of our arrival through our departure and consistently went out of their way to meet our every need and exceed our expectations. We hated to leave and can't wait to return to Plunge in the near future!!

They claim the rooms are sanitized, not so. Our floor was gritty and filthy, rust tattered bathroom, heavy dust on ceiling fan and door jambs, mold in the shower. I’m questioning whether I stay here in the future pre- cruise. I didn’t pay top dollars for filth.

This is my 5th stay in that hotel . We love this place !!! Clean and friendly people make a huge difference I have been seeing the same faces for the last 5 years. Great customer service . You can’t beat location !! That pool is nice bar food delicious

The room size was great. The location was good too, particularly if you were able to be in the beach blocks.

The rooms were a little tired. Our particular 1 bed suite had a very small sofa bed as a second sleeping are. After being assure beforehand that it could accommodate 2 people, on arrival it became very clear that it wasn’t wide enough for two children, let alone 2 adults. Upon raising this again, I was told there was nothing that could be done. We asked about additional furniture (the room was more than big enough to accommodate another sofa bed) and even suggested using a sun lounger as a makeshift bed but had to make do with additional comforters on the floor as a pretend mattress. The fact that the room only included bedding and towels for 1 additional guest demonstrated that the room was not set up for 4 people. It really spoilt our trip.

Great hotel and service!

That's our second time in Plunge! And we will be back again! Absolutely love the service - complimentary late check out, towels and sun beds, message support, ice water with orange and lemon, yoga, Christmas activities and wonderful coffee downstairs! The staff is helpful, welcoming and friendly! The location is just the best - by the ocean and close to restaurants and supermarkets! We fully enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Plunge Beach Resort! You, guys, are the best!

We had a one bedroom suite. There was only a sofa and one very uncomfortable chair in this main room. How about getting some furniture that people can sit on. Had to take a chair from the breakfast area in the lobby just so we can have another chair to sit on in the room There were also no lights in the main room only one small lamp. Had to leave the bathroom lights and bedroom lights on to light the main room. Refrigerator was on the floor hard to get things in and out. The bed was uncomfortable very hard. Bathrooms and Balcony were nice. Charging 25.00 a day for parking is robbery.

Hotel was very cheaply done! We had to request to be moved to another room. First one was main level by beach, smelled moldy and the carpet was damp. Originally we had requested a balcony room! It was very disappointing.

Lacking customer Service

The beach location was great as i remember it the real plus on my return trip.

I have been returning to US for 30yrs+ for good customer service this hotel does give this less than helpful was a real shame, also make sure you have plenty of space on credit card for 3 day stay they were holding approx $650 àt point of booking out of hotel.

Nice beachfront property in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

My ocean front room had an amazing view of the beach and a great balcony for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere. The room was very comfortable, and the location was a short walk from the main shopping area with restaurants and other activity.

Perfect Location! Located on the beach, close walking distance to plenty of restaurants and stores. Also Had a coffee shop, breakfast lunch and dinner all available at the resort.

Needs updating, the hallway carpeting is musty & dingy. There are signs saying that it will be updated but it’s beyond past bedding the upgrade.

We really liked the hotel’s location — close to the ocean and within walking distance to cafes and shops. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always ready to help.

The rooms do not match the description or the price. They are very small and poorly equipped — only one nightstand, one chair, and no additional table or sitting area. We also saw cockroaches in the bathroom, which was unacceptable. In addition, the pool that should have been for bungalow guests only was used by anyone who wanted to enter, including people who were not staying there.

The location is superb. Lauderdale by the Sea is laid back, not so busy but still plenty of amenities close by. The direct access to the beach was excellent. The staff are all friendly, efficient and make your stay very welcoming.

It was good overall but a few things could’ve been better.

Love the location for sure and staff is great, restaurants have very good food.

We could not upgrade to the adults only pool as we could the year before. I think guests should definitely have that option. There was not one single person in the adults only pool the whole time, and yes, I was checking frequently. Some unruly and extremely rude guests in the regular pool made for a very unpleasant experience. I will be rethinking my birthday trip next year!

The adult, private villas are wonderful! Laid back beach bar offers good pub food and drink.

The pools should be open till 9:00. I look forward to the 2026 room renovations with attention to more storage area for cloths and personal items. Interior bar should also be open till 8:00.

The perfect place to soothe and relax.

The people and staff were very very nice, we felt well attended every step of the way. The environment invites you to forget about everything and just enjoy of the quiet and relaxing sounds of the sea. The room was so clean and neat that I loved it. I will certainly come back.

Very nice location in the staff was helpful, but they need to work on a few things.

Our room was right on the beach. Had a nice beach bar and drink delivery. Free Chase lounges and umbrellas.

Room air conditioner cooled very well, but it never went off. So we had to turn it on or off. It could not set the temperature. We were in the separate building from the coffee shop so we had to walk over to get coffee every morning, which was not free. They should consider small coffee machines for those buildings that are not connected to the Coffee Shop restaurant area. The parking ticket system never worked. We had to use the help button every time we left the parking lot.

Everyone who works here, is great. Michelle sales manager is awesome and so helpful and accommodating. Along with all staff. Octopus food is great and the staff there is so nice !! Plunge pool bar, Brian along with all the staff there as well was amazing. Front end staff, Juelo? Not great with names , wait staff (all) management all top notch !! Thank to all for a great stay!!!

Only complaint was carpet, and beds could be a little more comfortable.. but all signage says there is an upgrade coming soon!

Rip off old motel dump.

Nothing, it was old and gross. Everything was rusty and falling apart. The pictures online don’t reflect what was actually there.

I got a bunch of extra charges on my credit card, and no receipt to explain them. I feel ripped off with no way to get my money back.
