Harbor House Inn

Fabulous breakfast, great location, quiet.

We had a very nice stay at Harbor House Inn. The inn is a lovely, historic house; it is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is located only a short walk from the downtown shops/restaurants and harbor areas of Boothbay Harbor. (As noted in other reviews, the walk is a little steep but very manageable.) Our host, Kristie, was very welcoming and provided lots of information about things to do. We were only there for two nights—we will need to return to see more of this beautiful area. We had a boat trip scheduled on our last morning there. Kristie allowed us to leave our car at the inn until our return shortly after lunch. A tasty breakfast was served every morning between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. Kristie happily accommodated my sensitivity to wheat. It was much appreciated.

We made our reservation very close to our stay, so we were in one of the smaller rooms. It was comfortable for our two nights. As noted in other reviews, the shower stall is very small. We made it work. If we are able to return in the future, we would try for one of the larger rooms. On the upside, the smaller room gave us the incentive to enjoy relaxing in the common areas both outside on the lovely deck and inside in the sitting/parlor area.

Conveniently located to downtown Booth Bay. Property was well kept, clean, and comfortable……beautiful stately Victorian.
