Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Inn

Nice festive ambiance, everything reachable by walking, harbor, etc. room had many nearly new furniture, beds, carpets. No breakfast even continental would have been nice.

Building was dated being on the water a little beat up. Especially doorways and egress elements. Something off putting about door jams off kilter a bit, room door was ill fitting.

View was wonderful. Outside deck allowed you to sit outside and to visit with other guests if you chose to. Helpful recommendations on local places to eat. Very nice restaurant.

When we checked out, the elevator was not functioning, so we had to carry our heavy suitcases down the stairs from the second floor. The sliding door and the screen door both needed lubrication of replacement of the wheels.

Perfect location overlooking the harbor across from the shopping district. Easy walk across the bridge to get there. Excellent restaurant onsite with outdoor seating. Perfect for a sunset dinner.

There is a property with a similar name next door. Be sure you are checking in at the right location.

Phone in room did not work - had to walk down two flights of steps and across parking lot to get to the front desk. I reported the phone did not work and there was no dial tone - informed that you could only call the front desk by pressing zero - again reiterated there was no dial tone and told it didn't matter. Asked for a luggage rack and was told there was one in the room. Explained I looked in the closet and in the room and there was none. After further discussion with the clerk I called my spouse and had him recheck - he confirmed there was none there and then the desk clerk said he would like to check personally so he came to our room. After checking the closet and looking around the room he said he would go next door and get us one............he returned later saying there were none in our building and he would get us one. He did return after 10-15 min. with a rack. I had checked the phone and pressing O did nothing. When I informed him about this he wanted to check it! 2 days later when I checked out I re-informed the front desk that the phone did not work in our room and was told you had to press O and once again to 2 different people explained it was "dead" - no dial tone (the phone in our friends room had a dial tone). No view and not really oceanside room,
