This place was affordable, but still a boutique experience! Such a nice stay and the location was perfect for us to attend an event at the Carson Center.

The 1857 hotel comprises a main building and a nearby annexe. The rooms in the main building are all slightly different; ours had a vast open plan bath and shower area. The walls are unfinished brick and the 10ft ceilings have exposed beams which add rustic charm. The amenities were good and the bed, a true king size, was very comfortable.
The window lacked a true blackout curtain so the room was never fully dark. While the open.plan bath and shower looked impressive, with a waterfall showerhead in a high ceiling it was a little disappointing in effect, generating a lot of air movement so it never felt really hot enough.
I expect it is awesome in summer on a hot day.
