Beautiful and historic space, with an excellent made-for-me breakfast (avocado toast!) and a comfortable bed. The owners are super friendly and shared great stories of the house.
The stairs are steep up to the second floor — keep in mind when you're packing.

Very unique and cozy atmosphere. Close to downtown social district.
Breakfast earlier on weekends so we could participate would have been appreciated. AC was inadvertently locked off during unseasonably warm daytime temps made sleeping uncomfortable

Everything about the property and the hostess were exceptional in ways expected of a B & B- the comfort, decor, attention to detail, cleanliness, and ideal location. Respite lacked nothing. On the morning of our arrival I had a medical emergency which meant a late arrival. As soon as I texted Andrea she assured me there was no problem; I should be sure not to worry at all, and it was most important that my health came first.
Though she couldn’t be on site that late, we were given complete entry info and instructions. Her caring and personal communication-even by text-added so much to the exceptional accommodation that The Respite is.

Location
Poor security—the door was often unlocked. No one on property and bare amenities. Skimpy breakfast with one cup of coffee. Very clean but impersonal, uninviting. Yard needed maintenance, with dead plants.
