The Ivy on Parker Guest House

The house is beautiful, the Retreat is a lovely space. Super comfy bed - we slept really well here! We enjoyed the full kitchen, and loved the heated bathroom floors. The location is so incredibly convenient - its a block and a half to Commercial Drive where there are tons of shops and amazing restaurants. Parks are all around too - very walkable location. When driving the street parking was super easy to find. Reserving and checking in was very easy, directions to access the space were also very easy and clear. All of our communications were responded to very timely.

We had some hiccups and some of this might just have been due to unlucky timing. There was deck construction starting at 8:00-8:30a right outside our space, which brought construction noise and voices in. Window washers one day too, which may or may not have contributed to there not being any hot water to shower with on that day. We had some items left from the prior guests and technology not working as anticipated. The staff promptly replied and came to fix all those things, but also entered the space at 8:30 to do so. Again, might have just been unlucky timing, but may want to check on planned work before booking, especially if you want to rest in bed past 8 while on vacation.

It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and located in a very cool neighborhood. Lots of different restaurants choices within walking distance. It was also a 15 minute walk to the train station to access downtown Vancouver

The location is great. Worked well for us we were close to family and all amenities of Commercial Drive.

The bathroom flooded on arrival while washing hands and the television setting needed to be addressed. Excuses were provided to justify each of these issues.
