Fabulous location and beautiful surroundings Ionin

The gite was perfectly located, only 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the beautiful village of Villandry. Our hosts were very responsive to any requests.

The bathroom would benefit from an upgrade. Whilst adequate the shower was a little dated and on the small side for my larger than average husband.

A lovely house to spend our family holiday in - merci Julien and Aurelie!

Amazing big garden. The property is so well equipped for anything you may need for your family holiday, from cooking utensils to a cot, to many toys for kids and play equipment outside. We also loved the pool even though it was unfortunately bad weather a lot of the time we were there so couldn’t use it as much. You can walk into the village in about 10-15 minutes but there is no footpath for a lot of the walk (but not many cars around). The owners live next door so can help with any problems, but it feels like you are in the house by yourself as it’s still quite separate which is great.

Excellent family stay!

We traveled as a family with two children and had an absolutely wonderful time! The house has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We were particularly pleased with the large, well-kept grassy area. The swimming pool was a huge plus, of course. The location is very convenient, close to major highways, which allowed us to quickly get to all the castles and attractions in the Loire Valley. We want to give a special thanks to the incredibly friendly and hospitable hosts. We highly recommend this place!

Homely Gite with plenty of character for a really relaxed stay.

Beautiful setting, with access to a shared garden with the owners main residence. Use of pool and play equipment. Very comfortable and homely. Owners very hospitable but mindful of giving us space. Location near to Villandry and the surrounding countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it completely relaxing.

Could do with a few more cooking pots in the kitchen and extra kitchen utensils.

Very good

the location is fantastic, within easy reach of many of the Loire Valley's many highlights. The kitchen has everything you need and the garden is a delight. Make sure you visit L'Etape Gourmand, a farm restaurant within easy walking distance.

I suggest that you make it clearer in the property description that no towels are provided... "Please note that we do not provide towels, so please make sure to bring your own" would be a good way to put it. The current wording made us think that only beach or bath towels were needed. The mattress on the double bed is on the hard side so may not suit everyone.

An outstanding property

A great cottage peacefully set in a relaxing, private garden, just behind the chateau of Villandry. Very well-equipped, including for one or two young children. Just a short walk from bar/restaurants. Good access to quiet cycle routes. This is an outstanding property to have as a base for visiting this area.

We have just spent a wonderful 4 nights in this charming gite from which we visited chateaus near (Villandry, around the corner) and further afield (Chambord). It was a pleasure to deal with and finally meet our delightful hosts. We were sad to leave.

A perfect stay if you want a quiet get-away

The property was exceptionally clean and well presented. It had everything we needed apart from a bath which would have been useful to bathe our baby in. There were two high chairs (one which day in the garden) and also lots of games for guests to play (chess, Malki etc). The pool is fab - it’s a great size and there is plenty of space around it.

There wasn’t anything to not like. The spot is peaceful and idyllic. It’s within east distance of Villandry and Sauvonniers and very comfortable.

It was cosy and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There was everything you need for a longish stay.

The shower broke at the beginning of our stay and because of the weekend the owner couldn’t get it fixed. He tried, but wasn’t successful so this made for a stressful weekend. Small place in bedrooms to put luggage.

Idyllique !

Le gîte était parfaitement conforme à sa drescription et aux photos. Nous avions eu un coup de coeur sur photos, et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Le logement est confortable, propre, décoré avec goût et parcimonie, la literie est vraiment très confortable (nous avons tous très bien dormi), il y a des petits livres et jouets pour les enfants, un petit nécessaire de toilette très appéciable (génial de mettre à disposition du doliprane, des serviettes hygiéniques, du coton et du gel douche par exemple... ça peut vraiment dépanner !), une base de produits alimentaires tout aussi appréciable (un peu de pâtes, du thé, du café, du sucre, huile et vinaigre...). Ce sont plein de petits détails qui font la différence avec d'autres gîtes ! Les propriétaires sont chaleureux et à l'écoute. Le cadre est idyllique : calme, verdoyant, avec des oiseaux qui chantent et des chats qui passent nous dire bonjour, à proximité du château et de beaucoup de sites touristiques à découvrir. Bref, c'était super, on est complètement ravis et on aurait aimé que ça dure plus longtemps !
