About this cottage rental
House in a hamlet on the hillside of the village with two terraces and landscaped gardens (including fruit trees) and flowers, enclosed lawn. Ground floor: living room/lounge area (flat-screen TV/TV box + internet, fireplace with insert, etc.), fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one double bed, one two single beds, one child's bed), bathroom (bathtub, shower, double sink, bidet) and separate toilet. Wi-Fi connection via router. Electric heating (extra charge according to meter reading). Laundry room in the basement (equipped with a washing machine and double sink) with garage. High chair, cot, and baby bath available. The cottage is not specifically equipped for wheelchair users but is accessible on one level. English spoken. Located near the town center and the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau (a 10-minute walk) and the shopping area (also a 10-minute walk), the cottage enjoys a peaceful, green setting close to hiking trails (for walking, mountain biking, or horseback riding). Within a 15 km radius, you can discover Saché and the Maison de Balzac, the Château de l'Islette with its vast flower-filled park on the banks of the Indre River, perfect for picnics, the troglodytic valley of Les Goupillières, the Château de Villandry and its gardens, the Château de Rigny-Ussé, the Château Fort de Langeais, and the troglodytic houses and basketry workshops of Villaines-les-Rochers. Azay-le-Rideau has the advantage of being halfway between Tours and Chinon and offers a wide range of opportunities for sightseeing and walks, cycling, or boating. You can also enjoy the gastronomic and culinary specialties of Touraine, such as rillons (pork belly confit), goat cheeses, and Rivarennes dried pears, or sample the wines and apple juices from Ridellois and the surrounding region.
