Historic mansion! Beautiful! Janice the manager was a dream!
You can touch the highway overpass while in the pool.
Crazy and shameful that they built the highway overpass this property.
I am assuming it has historical protection and is the reason it wasn’t torn down.
But it is a wonderfully quirky hotel and the highway adds to its quirkiness! I loved my stay. Janice is the best!

The property is very comfortable and welcoming. It has a very homey vibe to it. Great for solo travelers as well bc of the communal spaces.
Janis, the host, was amazing- she told me to make myself at home and that’s exactly what I did. She was incredibly accommodating for any request. They were also wonderful about my dogs which was a huge plus for me.
The Only thing I didn’t like about the property was the location. There are no close stores but you are very close to magazine st if that’s appealing.

The accommodations from the staff were above and beyond! We stayed in the white room and the decor gave a light bright and clean feeling while still having a a taste of New Orleans.
