Ms Lila is an amazing host. The property has so much charm and is so close to the shops downtown. Breakfast is the best.

Close to downtown

Nice vintage home, great location, comfortable for the whole family. There were toys, games and a lovely screened porch, keeping the smalls, parents and grandparents happy! Loved the breakfast!

My wife and I were in the area for a concert in a nearby city, and we wanted to spend that night in a more sparsely populated area, closer to home for our return in the morning. Glen Rose and the Price House Inn were perfect for our needs. The accommodations consist of the entire second floor of a lovely old home with lots of history. It's much superior to even your most luxurious suites in chain hotels. There were three well-appointed bedrooms and a sitting room with TV and kitchenette of sorts, and, I was delighted to find, a recliner that served as my bed for the evening. The bathroom features a lovely old clawfoot bathtub. My wife was at the other end of the hall, with her door shut, and she never heard me snore! Win-win. The space is over a hundred years old, but well-maintained and kept clean. The wi-fi is spectacular! The heat and air controls worked great. The garage has a reserved space for guests. Lila is a wonderful hostess. She brought our breakfasts up at the elected time with a delicious assortment of well-prepared foods, including biscuits and a homemade strawberry jam that may be the best I've ever eaten. Scrambled eggs? Sausage? Fresh fruit? She had it all covered. If/when I'm ever back up into that part of Texas, I'd definitely try to squeeze the Price House Inn into my itinerary. By the way, very nice dining is available less than a five-minute walk from the Inn, as is the courthouse square - an easy walk - with its eclectic mix of shops and eateries. Glen Rose is a great little Texas town. The Price House Inn does its part.
