Felt really strange staying in a suite in a building largely occupied by residents--somehow it felt like the suites that are part of Norblad are playing a role in displacing people? It appeared as though residents were middle-to-low income--so it didn't feel great to be riding the elevator with our suitcases along with the residents--it felt like we were a little unwelcome. In addition, it was only about 78 degrees out in Astoria that day, but the suite was uncomfortably warm, and only 2 of 7 windows were operable. There was a fan in the livingroom turned on for our arrival. We slept with the 1 of 3 windows open in the bedroom--very noisy between 2 and 3am when the bars closed.
