Loved the staff and atmosphere. The location is smack in the middle of the night life. The ability to get naked and let it go is fun. Service was spotty but that's true of the entire island.
Room was small. Dated bathroom sink needs replacement and there was a smell in the bathroom from the drain.

It was chill. Good place to relax.
The breakfast wasn't very good.
I come to places like this expecting a lot of people and a lively atmosphere. Turns out there wasn't much going on at the resort. I had to leave the property to entertain myself.

Excellent staff and location. Great hot tub and pool open long enough to enjoy daily. Nice selections for breakfast.
Bartenders were wonderful, especially Brian.
Bryan also great at cleaning room.
The hot water in the shower was iffy.

Great location. The New Orleans House is in the center of Duval Street, located right in the heart of stores, Art emporiums, places to eat, and bars with live music if you are into the partying nightlife. It was in bicycling distance to attractions such as Mallory Square, Fort Jackson, beaches on one side and the wharf on the other side of the island. For every day you are at the New Orleans House, you get two free drink tickets that can be used at the down stairs bar or the patio bar.
Most rooms are on the second floor. The first floor is a bar with nightly entertainment. My room (22) was directly above the bar and the live music could be heard to 1;30 and 2:00AM. The bar crowd was noisy and could be heard until 4:00AM, which is when the bar closed. If you are a light sleeper and can't get to sleep with music vibrating your room, this is not a room for you. I had trouble getting to sleep until the live music stopped, as stated above, usually around 1:30 or 2:00AM.

The pool and outdoor bar was excellent. The bar staff was great.
Although we were warned about the noise level upon registration at this hotel, the actual noise was obscene....even with ear plugs. I attempted to enter the Bourbon Street Bar from Duval Street and the noise was so loud that I could not get in beyond two feet before turning around to leave. I am not sure if a Drag Queen was trying to sing but someone should have been controlling the volume on her mic. I saw other people do the same thing. This was the same noise that would later prevent me from sleeping until it ended after 2 AM.
The room was nice except for the mold on both sides of my shower curtain.
The initial registration was tough as there is no parking owned by the resort. The City lot across the street was all full. Once I found a place to park my car, I was not sure which door to enter to register as the signage was lacking.

The pool/hot tub areas were spectacular along with the pool bar. The hotel itself was almost dead center on Duval Street. Plenty of sights and restaurants within walking distance.
The room (11A) a/c unit didn't work first night. After expressing concerns about the problem, maintenance tech adjusted and we 'froze' the second night.

I liked that fact that it was a male resort. I like the pool/hot tub with the bar. And the sun decks were nice. Location was good!
The rooms were a bit run down and very smelly. For the nightly rate I expected much more! The staff was ok but could have been friendlier. A couple of the front desk staff were nice. Alex (he told us he was new) and Jason (I think that was his name) were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were not cleaned nightly until late in the afternoon. Kept waiting for new towels. Never came!

The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Pool area was clean and chairs were always available. The central location to everything was perfect for me.
Just a little too much light in the room at night from outside porch lights.

The location was great.
The only thing I would bad about it was that the hot water in the shower wasn't that hot at all.

The room, bathroom, and outside pool were great. I also really appreciate the gifts for the drinks and shows.
I would've like fresh fruit and and bread to make toast for the breakfast. Please fix the broken statute on the pool deck.

Staff was very good about communicating via email and phone. They helped with after hours check in and parking off site. The free happy hour drink coupon was a nice offer. The continental breakfast offerings were a pleasant amenity.
The place is a little rickety and you can hear your neighbors in the adjacent room.

So friendly, staff were all lovely and other guests very friendly too.
We had what was described as a budget room at the front of the hotel. While other rooms were bigger this was more than adequate and in the perfect location overlooking the street. For the most part quiet by a reasonable hour for sleep. Room 22.
Great pool though the hot tub was maybe a little too hot at times. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast is nothing special due to everything having to be individually packaged but a lot better than some other hotels we stayed in and more than adequate.
Great location right in the middle of Duval street with clubs and bars very close.
I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Key West after this.

All in all our stay was FANTASTIC and we loved New Orleans House. Almost all of the staff were outstanding with the exception of the one "old grouchy" bartender who was rude, dismissive and not very cordial or welcoming at all. Didn't even get his name but he was not at all friendly so we just avoided the bar when he was behind it.
The toilet in room 11A was a complete joke. It was made for a child, not an adult. It was so small and so low to the floor that I fell backwards the first time I used it and ended up with a huge bruise on my back. This toilet needs to be replaced with an ADULT toilet. This is an accident waiting to happen that is easily and inexpensively corrected.
