Hilton Garden Inn New York Central Park South-Midtown West

The location is fantastic, quiet but still close to times square and Broadway and lots of public transport. Rooms were comfy and typical. The restaurant downstairs was fantastic for service, and they offer room service.

The ice machines and guest washing machines were frequently not working, met some people who stay there regularly and they report it's regularly luke that. And be prepared to wait awhile in peak times for the lifts... there was often a line up in the foyer to enter 3 tiny lifts that occassionally had 1 out of service

What I liked most was the location. It's outstanding—just a short walk to both Times Square and Central Park, making it incredibly convenient to explore New York on foot. The neighborhood felt safe, and there were plenty of restaurants, cafés, and subway stations nearby. It was the perfect base for my stay.

The hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. The breakfast could be improved with more variety and better quality. Also, the elevators are insufficient for the number of guests, resulting in long waiting times, especially during peak hours.

Property clean

The pillow was too flat, so I couldn’t sleep comfortably and ended up with a stiff neck. The bed wasn’t soft enough either, and my back started hurting. In the end, I had to take a muscle relaxant… and on top of that, I had to wait forever for the elevator.

Location was great, most things are walkable or a short train ride away, central park being only a 10 minute walk was a bonus. The room was big and had the terrace that I booked, the privacy on the terrace could be better, it is visible from neighbouring terraces through the fence slats. The shower was really good and the bed extremely comfortable.

The attitude of the staff on the front desk was just awful, came across very rude and was not welcoming at all, I can take it with a pinch of salt to be honest but I witnessed people appearing quite upset at the way they were spoken to at check in, maybe they are understaffed but a smile from the staff was nowhere to be seen. Not my experience as I was on the 2nd floor but there are only 2 public elevators and both were down when I checked in and there's a lot of floors, I also witnessed this on a previous stay.
