The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very helpful and polite. This was my fifth visit to Hotel Lafayette. I think they need to do a bit of maintenance and repairs to their rooms. Our room showed a lot of wear. Table and desks tops are looking rough, some baseboards were damaged and a towel rack was missing in the bathroom. There was a used bar of soap in the bathroom. Having said that, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice. I would stay there again.
The room needed repairs to the furniture and floor molding.

Love the old building! Elevators are super cool!
My room was dark because the 2nd floor windows looked into a very small courtyard like area.

For over $230 I would expect to see something outside my window beside another wall and a roof with some sort of utilty.
