"Beautiful site. We had coffee outside the room looking out to the trees. Clean, comfortable beds."

Luxury chalet was nice. Love the pool and activities you can do while staying there.
The Luxury Chalet says it has air conditioning in the description but it does not. Unless you count a old box fan that hardly blows any air around air conditioning. Also because the place is pet friendly some people let their large dogs run around and we had one run up on my kid and then go up to our small dog and try to attack. The same person with the dog running around also stayed up till 3am talking and cussing up a storm right next to the caretaker cabin and nothing was done about it.

Spacious setting among big trees, large rooms with new flooring, mostly updated furniture. Surprisingly large outdoor unheated pool-- perfect on a hot day! Very quiet-- it's off the highway. Oddly, the lodge does not have a sign on Highway 108-- I bypassed it, then had to call them and they gave me directions. The office closes at 4pm, but the owner/operators are available by phone and very helpful & pleasant. Not all rooms have microwaves, but when I inquired, they brought one to our room & made an effort to make our stay comfortable.
Initially there was a problem with the light in our room but the owner quickly showed up to fix it; when it wasn't a quick repair, he very kindly offered us a different & nicer room. It's an older property, needs some exterior maintenance, but they are making an effort to refurbish it. Older enclosed corner shower stall is functional but needs replacement-- and a rack to hold your soap & shampoo. Older sliding aluminum windows don't work very well & need more secure locking devices & new screens. Still, I'd stay here again.

Beds were uncomfortable and didn't feel stable. Shower was small and shower door didn't shut/seal in the water. No a/c.
