I missed the turn the first time. It was definitely a mansion on the hill. The view of the race track was beautiful. The very tall, dark, and handsome check in attendant was so nice to my kids. He joked around with them. He was patient and kind to us. The room was sufficient. There was a dirty towel on the back of the door but I just tossed it aside. I like that the beds were all metal. This is great bug prevention and I didn't find any evidence of them. The toilet is a bit wobbly. But every thing was in working order. The pool was just the right size. I would have loved if it was just a few degrees warmer, but fun and clean. No towels though for us. We dripped dry. The breakfast was really good. Overall, we loved the out of the way experience. Plan ahead to eat the exit before or after. There is one Lil country store about 15 min away. It has pizza and snacks as well as some plants and little gifts. It's the best value to stay at while on your way to the Ark.
