Overall it was fine and we had stayed there before.

Location and size of the room

Bathroom toilet had issues and air conditioner and heating was very noisy. Last time we were on the second floor and no elevator made it a little harder but this time we were on the first floor.

Great Staff, Great Food and a beautiful property

This hotel was very pet friendly There is a lot of outdoor space to walk and the hotel was beautiful inside and out The view is so beautiful as well The Staff was very friendly and helpful The restaurants food was so good and If I lived in the Dalles would go there just to have dinner or lunch even without the hotel stay The little coffee shop made the best tasting cappuccino and had very tasty blueberry scone I recommend staying here to anyone wanting to have a great stay and comfortable room and meal for sure with very Kind staff 100%

The staff was wonderful they switched me out of the horrible room I had and moved me to a room where everything was great. They made the weekend a success as well as handling our class reunion banquet very well and the dinner was hood.

Comfortable but overpriced and poorly constructed.

Although the rooms were comfortable and seemingly recently updated, the hallways and stairwells are constructed of poor quality man-made decking material (something like Trex) - giving everything a very cheap feel. And believe me, for the quality and location, this place wasn’t cheap.

Not good

For the amount we paid room was not worth it. Overpriced. Towels smelled horrible and unclean. Housekeeping knocked on door 4 separate times, when notice of do not disturb was on door. They woke us up early and then we heard the maids screaming at each other in the hall. Lobby and restaurant were great and nice room and Housekeeping horrible. Will never return. Too expensive for what room actually was.

Not a lot of reasons to come back here when we are in The Dalles. Others in town blow you away.

Bed was nice and firm,

A/C worked on occasion......no clock or alarm clock...no hand towels...no fan in bathroom...no menu of restaurant in room, no shower caps, no hair dryer, towels are now size of motel 6...when making the reservation, I was not told that there were no kings on the inside...only queens so we listened to the freeway going over the bridge, and the parking light blinding us because there were no drapes...no continental breakfast or breakfast buffet like other motels/hotels do....and for the rate, I would expect that compared to others...not even a 20% off coupon Your prices and selections in the restaurant/bar were on the obnoxious side compared to whats in town. Your just a another skimpy motel for the price....and the staff knows it.

Location

Staff, no elevator. When I went to the desk to tell them there was no soap in the bathroom. The lady at the desk said there was. I showed her a picture of two shampoos and one conditioner, no soap .the woman said she was by herself and was taking care of incoming guests and couldn’t help. I told her it wasn’t necessary right away, and could I pick some up in an hour or so. Sorry, can’t help. Could you maybe tell someone? That got a response. If I had known there wasn’t an elevator, I would have passed. 75 year old hips. Nice view, beds were comfortable.

If you like to swim in a heated pool and have a dog, this hotel is not for you.

I liked my room. It was clean and comfortable. I liked the view; the hotel is located in the middle of the desert.

When I read the revies, most of them said that the stuff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the stuff was just okay. They actually lied about their pool. Before I booked a room, I called and asked them if their pool is heated. I was told yes. When I arrived, I asked the same question. I was told that yes, their pool is heated. Unfortunately, they lied for both times. Their pool is pretty cold and not heated. Their hotel is also not dog friendly.

Clean, restful

It was a lovely stay. Cold ac, pool up and running.

I was told by one member that Continental breakfast was from 7 to 2.. but the next day I was told they don't do Continental anymore since the addition of the coffee shop. It was not the best surprise, but it was okay.

Nice convenient place to stay with family!

Convenient location, room was clean and comfortable temperature. AC worked well while it was very hot outside.

Would be nice to have elevators. We luckily had a room where we didn’t have to use stairs, but it was a long walk. One of the reasons we booked was a complimentary breakfast was listed as an amenity, but found out at arrival this was no longer offered, we were disappointed by this. More shade around the pool area would be nice.

Luxury along the Columbia.

Well known local hotel that was getting tired and needed a facelift, and boy what a facelift it got. Absolutely beautiful.

First- the floors. Then the coffee shop. Those lime green chairs are also comfy.

The room overlooking the Columbia river is very good, wake up in the morning and see that landscape is very inspiring. All the installations of the hotel are new and clean, the restaurant is amazing and with a great view of the Columbia River. All employees were very pleasant and attentive

We were very pleased with our stay.

Breakfast in a bag was perfect for our needs as hotel was under construction. Wheelchair accessible room was great! Newly remodeled room was great. The bed was very comfortable!

I wish there had been a comfy chair to sit in with a place to elevate my legs ( ie. an ottoman or a reclining chair) as I have legs swelling issues and back pain. I was in ADA room. The bed was a few inches too tall to climb into when I have back pain. I managed, however it was a bit difficult. The bed was super comfortable though. Just some ideas to make it a bit more comfortable.

Pick a different place to stay

Location was great

Bathroom was a disaster. Needed some major work done. Also construction was awful. I picked up over 50 nails from the various areas I walked through. Most of these were parking spaces too. Staff was not knowledgeable. Also was charged for my 3 nights stay right off the bat plus I was charged extra. I am still waiting to see if the credits go through. I left a day early and the staff did not know how to do the check out. Could not stand to stay another night. Need to put on their site that they are under construction. I had to call the corporate office to get anything done. Corporate office Phone number is 301-592-5000. Please call them with your issues. They want to know.

Dissatisfied

Room service was not available as offered, neither was a menu for the onsite restaurant. Rooferrs were using nail guns nonstop until 7pm. The workers had garbage everywhere outside. Our window blind was broken and all the workers and outside people could see into our room . For almost $100 , I'm not happy.

Disgusting, no other way to put it. Extremely dirty, dog piss on the carpets, the room had not been cleaned. We found the before peoples clothing receipts on the counter. The worst hotel we've ever stayed at. Do not go to this place. It's a Disgusting mess. I can't wait to give it my Google review!!!! Who the hell is the owner. OMG , do they not see this embarrassment of a hotel. It really needs to be closed down. How does the BBB alow this place to keep on running.!!! BTW, the restaurant socks as well. It's like a cafeteria not a restaurant, absolutely the worst place ever!!!!
