Location decor

The front desk didn’t know what they were doing. Couldn’t answer my questions and overall Poor service.

The location felt safe and was conveniently close to restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. The front desk staff were consistently helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. The parking garage was secure and free of charge. The hallways remained quiet throughout our stay, creating a peaceful environment for rest and recovery.

The food at the hotel restaurants was disappointing and significantly overpriced. Lava Cafe offered a few decent, quick options, but overall we were unable to enjoy a proper meal on site. This may not be a major issue for guests who plan to be out most of the time; however, I was there for a major surgery and had limited mobility, so dining at the hotel was more important than usual. The room did not initially include a microwave. After asking the front desk to warm our takeout food, they kindly arranged for a microwave to be brought to the room. The television is not digital and does not easily support streaming services, though the front desk did provide an HDMI cable if you have a compatible device. Housekeeping was inconsistent. While some staff were attentive, others cut corners on more than one occasion. After eating popcorn in bed, we placed the orange sign requesting that the sheets be changed. Although the bed appeared neatly made, we later found a popcorn kernel when turning the bed down, indicating the sheets had not been changed. The following day, we intentionally left the room to allow housekeeping to clean, making sure the Do Not Disturb sign was not on the door. Upon returning, the room had not been cleaned. The front desk promptly addressed the issue and sent housekeeping. The housekeeper stated she did not clean because she believed the DND sign was on the door. As someone recovering post-op, leaving the room for cleaning required effort and planning, and we were very intentional about ensuring the sign was not displayed. I appreciate the front desk staff for their responsiveness, but the overall experience—particularly regarding dining and housekeeping—fell short.
