Motel 6 Morgantown

This location is excellent for anyone accessing the medical complex nearby. This hotel was much quieter than the other "big brand" hotel we had stayed in earlier in the week & this one cost less than half as much ($80 vs $200). The $200/night hotel we stayed in earlier had an absolutely *scuzzy* bathtub(!!), parking lot spotlights shining directly in the window, & traffic noises (drag races, etc) going on all night! The Motel 6 room was quiet, extremely clean, & very spacious (huge!) with a king-size bed (not 2 Queens in an average room for just 2 people!). We don't know what this location is like during football season, with the Hope Coliseum right up the hill within "hiking" distance, but it was ideal for us & convenient (an easy 1.5-2 miles maybe) to the Ruby Hospital Medical Center.

The king-size bed wasn't quite as comfortable as hoped for but we have had *much* worse elsewhere & paid alot more for alot less comfort. Biggest complaint is that the room lighting was very poor... lamps at bedside didn't work at all & the one floor lamp was definitely insufficient. The outside grounds need some landscaping... all the pavement is a little off putting but don't judge the book by the cover. Morning staff said renovations were being done still.

Breakfast was good, location great, after doing a load of washing then loading the dryer, the coin slot was broken in the dryer, the girl at the desk let me use the hotel dryer which was fantastic and very quick. Loved the elevator as we had a lot of luggage.
