Closed right as 10 when we walked in, but it didn’t really look like much more than toaster items and waffles.
Heavy smell of cleaning products in the room, shower has a leak that sprays up and around.

Updated room very spacious
More room amenities ie blow dryer more towels! Could use better drapes for the windows!!

That it was proper shelter
Prejudice staff, complicated check in, pool outside, poor breakfast selection

Nostalgic motel, location to Brookfield train, neighborhood feel.
After swiping my card, the unlocking mechanisms and door handle were so stripped it was almost impossible to get the door open. Also, in the room next-door people were coming and going throughout the night and their door was open in and closing, keeping me awake. There was a lot of marijuana in the air just outside. Also, there was a heavy chemical sanitation sent in the room. It smelled like a toilet bowl sanitizer.

Nothing about this place made me like it. Though I did two different bookings for two days. They got my reservations wrong and charged me over a hundred dollars for a no show, that I still haven't got back or accommodated for.
Not a good place to stay. We had ants throughout our room.

Clean room. Quiet motel. Quiet surroundings. Convenient parking. Great value.
communication with booking.com could have been better

I liked the price. Some of the staff were really nice. Rooms are new,but kinda sterile,no warmth.
Water pressure was low. They could have just given me a new shower head. The cleaning service never came to my room for 3 days. My shower was clogged(They fixed that). Swimming pool had way too much chlorine smell, which means guest were relieving themselves in it and the filters couldn't keep up. I wanted to swim, but wouldn't get in because of it. People had babies with diapers in the pool. Breakfast could've been better, but I kinda understand with their open concept design where basically anyone has access to the breakfast hall, that that might deter them from having a more extravagant selection. The parking is kinda bad,one of the beautiful staff members almost got run over while talking to me. All in all I guess they are making the best of what they got to work with.

Didn't know facility was under renovation when I booked. however, The staff bent over backwards to assure a safe and comfortable stay. Kudos. Will definitely rebook next time I am in the area.
The hand rail to get in the pool is too short. Should be longer to all easy access to top step. Also Top step could use abrasive to keep from slipping when entering pool.

Nothing.
They triple charged me for the room and kicked me out when I complained. I had to call the police. This all happened within 25 minutes of arriving at the hotel.

I was impressed with the size of my room. It was more of a resort than an Inn. It every amenity that I cared for to be relaxed. Spa jacuzzi tub in the room. Pool area and the hours are basically all day and night 😍 the pool was open 7am. Not sure when it closed. Free breakfast 😍and Free parking. Even when the place filled up , I found a park 😘
Everything was perfect , there were plenty of stores and restaurants in the vicinity. The free breakfast didn’t have any meat or eggs. But definitely had waffles , cereal , muffins and every thing else

Room was fairly clean, free parking
They were painting the stairs. The construction workers were kind and would pause to let use past with our luggage however we had to be extra careful to not get bright blue paint on our bags. Breakfast was stale and gross, typical cereal/apple juice/waffle iron situation. The staff was pretty rude overall. Checking in my 5 year old had to pee and there is no lobby bathroom so they were kind enough to let us go into our room quickly, however the entire interaction was quite rude overall with how I was being spoken to. The next morning we woke up and the water was shut off. It has been in the 90's and we werent able to shower or brush our teeth in our room. I found a kind staff member who let me know room 14 was unlocked and should still have water. The room reeked of cigarettes so my asthmatic teenagers decided to skip brushing. We all decided to skip showering as this felt very unsafe. I was able to brush my youngest's and my own teeth but the water from the faucet was a mere trickle. I've called to booking.com customer service to discuss at least a partial refund and they havent been able to get ahold of the property. When I called I got Christine who also came across extremely rude and told me shed have to discuss it with the GM Maggie, but she didnt know when maggie would be available since she works 3 properties and they have know way of knowing when shell be there. Overall very frustrated in general.

The rooms were great, the staff were great, breakfast was excellent, and the location was great, just a short walk to the Metra, so access to Chicago was great. If you want a value for money, clean bed for the night. This is ideal, We didn't use the pool, but only because we had a busy schedule. We arrived early, and they got our room ready, and we got access very quickly.
We had a room for 3 adults but there were only towels cups and coffee etc for 2. It's not a massive problem.

They were happy to check me in an hour early, and were very accommodating to my girlfriend and I. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. Hotel is in a great spot to go to Brookfield Zoo (6 minutes away) and/or into the city! (20-30 minutes depending on traffic)
There is certainly room for improvement but nothing that made the trip unenjoyable. Several spots in the walls were messed up, there was a splash of an unknown substance stuck to the ceiling, and there was an odor coming from the closet.

The bed was comfy and the internet worked
Staff lied about the deposit, tried to charge my card 3 times for the room( in the middle of the 1st night, then during the day then during the night again so glad I locked my card ,
Found worms in my shower, the noise from the construction was horrible, I'm sure the people parked under the stairs got alot of cement on their car I saw his angry face

location was great and very close to chicago. the bed was clean and comfortable higher than expected! the pool was amazing!
the staff would knock once and then start to put in the key card to get in. we were sleeping and woke up to someone barging in. there was construction happening at about 8am so we didn’t get a great sleep. the door on the bathroom wouldn’t close completely. the shower had hair on the walls and floor. the sink wouldn’t drain until an hour later and the remote for the tv would not work.

Central location, easy access, lots of parking. Room was comfortable.
Breakfast room was not as expected - perhaps it was due to lateness, but there was limited food available.

We chose the newer king bed with the jacuzzi tub and it was great
The breakfast is only waffles and muffins but it’s okay and still worth your money. The door was a little crooked and you could fully see under it.

The area where the hotel was was okay you got to get around and do what we needed to do we had a beautiful restaurant we went to in Tony's that was okay
First of all the first room that we went into the toilet seat was loose the rooms were not clean there was a hole at the bottom of the door that was enough space you can stick your hand through cold air all night and then the second room that we went to head hair all in the tub the floors were dirty up underneath the sink in the main area had a hole on the side like a slit where you can see through as if someone could look at you the door once again still had a hole up underneath that you can slide your hand through the sheets were still dirty we had a few holes in them and I did the tub was dirty here all in it looked horrible and then on top of everything we go down and get breakfast and it was mold on the muffins so we don't know how long we hit they have had mold on the muffins in order and we were eating them very dissatisfied and I think that I should me and my family should be compensated or get some of our money back for staying thereon top of all that the pool didn't work they said it was going to be fixed but it was not fixed they need to let it be known that their pool does not work that I'm sure that's main traction that some people do in order to get them a hotel to go to that hotel the whole hotel experience itself it was dirty it needed to be cleaned thoroughly fix the toilets and they're still renting out that room and they were still giving out the muffins I know they didn't check them or make sure it wasn't any more mold on that that was very unsanitary. The manager did not offer an apology for the hotel rooms 😕..Very very bad experience....It felt like they had their picks on the rooms on the lower level that we asked for and could not get one.. The second room the door would not lock on the inside I reported no one came we had to use a chair to keep safe..I had called and reported no one came....

Very close to the Galloping Ghost Arcade. Walking distance to the arcade. Loved that it was a unique, throw back building style. Very clean room. Definitely a great value for my needs. I didn’t hear other people in nearby rooms.
No complaints. Just realize that this was a place to primarily relax after hanging out at the Galloping Ghost Arcade.

It was a good place but the water didn’t get hot at all and they only clean the room every two or three days I ask the lady at the fest why she say she don’t know but other then that it’s a good place to stay

The staff most specifically the woman that works front desk very rude attitude for no reason lied when asked for supervisor refused a refund

(I am not super picky about hotels.) The actual room was pretty nice (for the price i paid). A couple of the staff members were really nice. You get what you paid for. The free breakfast was also a bonus. I would stay again for the price.
The exterior was pretty iffy. The wood on our room door was flaking apart and the stairs were rusty and concrete was cracking up. There were also a few people outside the hotel smoking weed and what not. Also, one of our lightbulbs in our room did not work. One of the bedside lamp’s charging port did not work.

It was in a convenient location.
It was loud, a lot of random people roaming around the area, couldn’t park close to my hotel room. Our door didn’t shut tight. We had to force it shut. There was bleach stains on the blankets. I wiped up some water that dripped on the floor near the toilet and didn’t notice how dirty the floor was till I looked on the napkin. There was a strong scent of chlorine in our room which made it difficult to sleep through (our room was next to the pool)

Our room had roaches, and woman at the front desk was rude and verbally combative. I contacted booking.com about it and they tried their best to contact the hotel without any success. There was also a woman walking around the Inn with a large shard of glass knocking on windows and trying to get in. The pool door was unlocked for anybody to enter off the street, and they did.

Good rooms, clean, homely, with WiFi all time. Pool clear and cozy. Breakfast good. And the attention of the staff quite well, but.... the worst: there is something very wrong for which I do not recommend Rodeway Inn Lyons La Grange.
A single person can make a good trip end in a catastrophic way: the employee (or owners`daughter?) of the night shift is rude, embittered, impolite and really nasty. She was furious because I woke her up at 6:30 am to help me get a taxi to the airport. On my next trip to Chicago, I will not return to that hotel. Only for her, from 5 stars, I give 1 star because there isn`t less.

Cheaper compared to other hotels around the Chicago area. It has a warm pool. Location made it easy to get to Chicago.
Pillows were not comfortable.

The staff was all super nice and super helpful! The hotel room was pretty clean with only minor issues that were too big of a deal. Location was nice as well. Would definitely stay again.
The bathroom wall had pealing paint behind towel rack, microwave paint was chipped, and there was a little mold in the shower. The only other issue was that they only gave us two towels, two wash cloths, and one hand towel - which for two people there three days was kinda sucky because there were no towels at the pool so we had to use our only towels for pool or shower.
