    We checked in 04/17 and planned to check out 04/18. We decided last minute to stay another night so I booked for 04/18 and check out 04/19. I immediately went to the office to let the gentleman know we were staying over. I was told that we had to leave and would have to check in back in 4 hours later at 3pm. He then proceeded to tell me that if I would have booked through them and not through Agoda, we could have stayed. He then said if I want to pay $20 for an early check in that we didn’t have to check out and then back in. I was not going to pay it so we left. When we came to check back in there was a very nice lady working and the gentleman had told her that he already checked us back into the same room. We go to the room and it wasn’t touched. No clean sheets, no clean towels, trash still in the cans. Which is no big deal but if you make the customer check out and back in then we should have been treated like a new reservation and gotten a fresh room or ours should have atleast been serviced. I had never had a hotel do that before. I can understand if they were busy and other people made reservations before us and they were booked, but there was only a handful of cars the whole time we were there. And even though we went through a third-party app, we still booked at that hotel so he could’ve been accommodating to the situation. If they don’t want people to book through third-party apps, then they should not have them listed on those apps. We were also asked several times when we went to check in if we had a dog and then reminded that dogs aren’t allowed and the cameras are watched. And at first, I couldn’t understand why it felt like they were insinuating we had a pet and not telling them. But then I remembered, when we had to check out, my son picked us up and he had his dog in the truck. I guess the gentleman saw this on camera. So I told the lady upfront that it was my son‘s dog and he picked us up and then said, but the gentleman should’ve seen on camera that the dog nor my son got out of the truck. Then when I went to check out and to get deposit back, another lady was working and asked if we had a dog and I said no, i told them that yesterday and she said so you didn’t have a dog in the room. I said we did not, we do not own a dog. The rooms were decent. And the lady that was working when we checked back in was very sweet and apologetic but we will not stay there again. To make your customers pack up and leave to check back in later to a room that wasn’t serviced, and there was no reason for it, except that we booked through a third-party app isn’t the best customer service.
