Quaint with amenities!

It was a very clean, comfortable cute room. We will definitely book there again.

We stayed in the George Kendall Room at The Kendall, which fronts onto the Courtyard, just beyond the lobby and front desk. The room itself felt spacious and was beautifully decorated (we were in town for the Tour du Boerne, and there was plenty of space in the room for both of our bikes and luggage). It is on the first floor off a shared porch area, but I think there are only one or two other rooms that share the porch and there are other access points to it, so I never felt that our privacy was jeopardized (despite the only windows in the room facing onto said porch [aside from one in the bathroom we never opened]). The Kendall is a beautiful hotel - walking around the grounds feels like stepping back in time. It is also very well located, just off Main Street and minutes from all the restaurants and shops. Parking is free and once we were parked we were able to walk everywhere.

I could not get a cell signal in the room. I couldn't access the internet from my phone, and couldn't even make phone calls or receive texts. I had to go out onto the hotel's shared veranda/porch area in order to do any of these things (I have Verizon, my husband who has AT&T had no issues). Also, there was no wall outlet on one side of the bed. My husband had to plug his phone in beside me on my side (never ideal when two people have alarms set to get up at different times). Lastly, check-out time is 11 am, but we had someone (presumably a member of the cleaning staff) unlock our door and walk in on us around 9 am without knocking. "Do not disturb" signs were not provided (that I noticed), but since the hotel uses physical room keys rather than key cards, you would think it would be easy to tell whether someone has returned their key and thus checked out.

Booking.Com offered an on line special. You get what you pay for. Room was not ready till 5, told they are short staffed, and they had a late departure. Took time to walk around beautiful Boerne till 4, then sat in park for hour. Flyer said Ozarka water available at desk. Ozarka truck failed delivery.Bar open at 4, a local watering hole. Went through bottleneck to get to bar. Bartender leaves bar and left looking at 4 dirty old fashion glasses. Tap water at room ok. Too tired to walk to Walgreens for water. Lots of empty rooms but had to wait for the room I booked with the special rate. Coffee in lobby not available the next morning
