Microtel Inn and Suites - Salisbury

Very nice set up of room and with lots of space.

The breakfast could have been better. The orange juice was watered down. Eggs looked fake and watery. Everything else was good.

Exterior looked great. Room was nice. Complimentary breakfast was nice.

Random people always just outside. Didn’t know if they were guests or trespassers. Bedroom sheets smelled bad like sour milk. Asked to be changed and they didn’t. Leaky handle in shower was annoying at night and was causing mold around shower, so it was leaking for a while to cause that. Girl at check in was completely silent even after saying hello to her. Asked a question and was grunted at while she pointed.

Location was perfect

I did not receive neither one of the incident deposits that I paid for. I have called the hotel and my bank and I still have not received anything

Staff was kind and efficient. I had a problem with my room and I was quickly moved to another room. My room and bed were comfortable.

In my first room there was a sticky cup ring on the bedside table and a stain on the wall. But worse, there was a stain on the bedsheet and it looked like the pillow cases had not been laundered. My second room was better but the floor by the door was sticky, as if too much cleaner or wax had been applied. In addition there was mold in the shower Finally, I frequently used the stairs instead of the elevator. I used both stairways. Every time I used the stairs, I found the fire doors to the hallways held open with doorstops. Not only does this violate the fire code, but in case of a fire the open doors would allow heat and smoke to enter the stair wells possibly spreading the fire and making evacuation of the upper floors impossible.
