expensive but worth it

I paid a high price for a one night stay. the outside of the building needs work but when I opened the door I was blown away by the view. It was worth every penny I spent. My view was outstanding, I had a little balcony and the ocean was righ there. huge...and wonderful. the room was extremely clean, nice bathroom. little couch, coffee table and table for computer etc. excellent bed. They have a large breakfast service from 6:30am to 9:30am. I skipped that. It is next to a large parking lot and a walkway along the beach. Apparently everyone in the area comes and parks the car to watch the sunset and I can see why. I got back to my room after taking a walk and was able to video the sunset. So special. There is a restaurant across the way called Foxy's and it was very good. There is a credit union ATM down the street if you need cash. All in all my one night stay in Brookings was well worth it. I would for sure splurge again to sleep here.

They should do some more work on the outsides of the building. It is in need of paint, and some tender loving care.

I read that there was an on site restaurant and in fact there wasn’t so I had to go pick up my own food for dinner. Also I reserved a room for disability guest and did not receive one.

The rooms need some serious renovation.

The property is right on the beach and close to town. The staff is very friendly.

The room was tired. The sliding glass door has permanent condensation that effects the view, there was one chair in the entire room, so if two people wanted to sit, one was on the bed. The couch had been removed and the carpet was frayed at the slider. There was also the distinct scent of mildew in the room. We've stayed in the building farthest from the beachfront and it did not have any of those issues. Not sure we will be back.

Loved our stay!

Loved that we had an ocean view! We opened the sliding glass door and listened to the ocean. Had an amazing nights sleep!!

Disappointed- won't stay again

Price and location were okay.

It was not disclosed at booking that the pool would be closed for our entire stay, we found out at check in. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known. While we're happy that they offer a breakfast it really is not good. The toilet barely flushes and we had to repeatedly try to lock the sliding door. It would look locked then the second you pull it it just pops open. Price is good, location is okay but we were disappointed that we had two nights here prepaid and booked.

The back slider wouldn’t lock. I didn’t notice until the next day that they had a metal rod to keep the window from sliding open. I wish they had a sign on the door to let me know how to lock it.

The stairs were rough on my elderly mother, but the views were great.

The view was amazing from our little 3rd floor balcony.

They gave one of our rooms to someone "in house", so my elderly mother with walking issues was not near us. They put us on the third floor and there is no elevator. There is no air conditioning. Horrible water pressure in the shower.

Was great to be on the beach and aside from a glass jar left under the bed, the room was very clean. Breakfast was decent as well.

I showed up to check in at 1545 knowing check in was at 1600, however the room wasn't ready and I was told it should be ready by 1630 but they would call. They didn't call and so when we returned at 1645 it was finally ready. This was tough with kids who were cold from the beach and we had planned specifically to be in the hotel at 1600. This also delayed dinner and really was an inconvenience. It's already later than most hotels (1500) and not cheap so I was very disappointed in this.

The hotel is indeed pet friendly. There is a dog wash for sandy doggy feet, and plenty of area for dogs to do their business that's NOT on the beach.

I have been to other pet friendly hotels (e.g. in Canon Beach) where they actually provide extra services for the dogs. Like a dog dish, a cover sheet for the bed (everybody who travels with their pet probably allows their dog on the bed), dog treats, and dog towels for after swimming and getting wet on the beach.

Very friendly staff, great location to start exploring Redwoods and Samuel H. Boardman Corridor.

Wifi is really bad and to be honest, there is actually no WiFi at all. Balcony is super tiny and not even worth to call it a balcony. Beds were on the wrong side in the room so there was just a partial ocean view from there, even the room faces the ocean. Pool wasn’t clean, there was a ton of dirt/sand on the ground.
