The Block Hotel Bentonville

We got a warm welcome by Ranit (who also gave us a warm goodbye when we checked out), and stayed in a cozy, clean room. Everyone was very friendly overall and it's always nice to stay at a place that has complimentary breakfast. I also loved how easily everything was with receiving info via text and how that blended into human-facing interactions. (Also loved the workout room, even though I didn't use it. If we stayed longer, I would've!)

I didn't love how cold the room was upon entering, but that's literally the only thing. Plus, I'd rather enter a freezing room than a boiling room.

No storage for clothes in room. Television channel choices were terrible..

Incredible style in breakfast area and lobby. Lots of comfortable common areas to lounge in. Generally friendly staff (except for one girl in the breakfast area). Generous breakfast hours (6am-10am). Easy check-in. Key code only to enter room (no physical key). Free cookies (but strangely set out at breakfast time???) Good safe location. Quiet.

Our room (2nd floor) remained very humid throughout our stay. Bathroom: not at all renovated (missing grout, layers of caulking around tub), only 2 bath towels provided for 4 people, very limited options to hang towels in bathroom, shower curtain did not block water from getting into rest of bathroom. No closet or dresser in room.

Staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast options were good.

Room wasn't as clean as I would expect and the hotel had an over powering smell of disinfectant. Some of the rooms looked tired (I was on the 2nd floor for the first night) which was noisy due to the air con unit and rooms around us. However we moved to a first floor room which felt more modern. I never had a hot shower during my 3 night stay although my daughter did once.
