The phrase you get what you pay for applies in this situation. We booked a room last minute when visiting family as we were just looking for a place to shower, sleep, and relax before driving home. The room was not the cleanest. When pulling back the conforter the sheets where dingy. The sheets were white however numerous spots made me question if the sheets were clean. Cleaning staff needs to either send the sheets out for laundering or needs to work on their bleach usage. The bathroom had a rag hanging from the shower curtain that I would assume was used to clean the bathroom area. The bathroom counter around the coffee pot had coffee grounds left all around it from the previous guest which means the counter wasn't properly cleaned. The cable television was not hooked up to the box. We resolved that issue by reconnecting it. The final issue was the smoke detector in the room. It started beeping every 1-2 minutes, we alerted staff, and was told there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue. We walked to the nearest place to purchase batteries, changed them out, and it still beeped. We were able to finally find a button to silence it and was able to sleep through the night. After 8 hours it started beeping again. We alerted management the next morning and they were aware if the issue but continued to rent the room without resolving the issue. All in all the hotel would be a good value for someone needing sleep or just a place to lay their head. Management and staff just need to pay attention to the small cleaning details and this place would meet expectations for the price.
