Lovely hotel right in the center of Ann Arbor!

Comfortable bed, cute room, everything I needed. Staff very helpful.

My room faced an alley and there were trucks in the early hours of the morning backing up, beeping, and making loud noises. Earplugs took care of the noise.

Very clean and comfortable

A lot of towels/ washcloths in room as well as pillows. It was nice to have everything we needed.

I wish the provided soap/ shampoo and condition awe was nicer. Dove is terrible and drying. We misunderstood check pot time and we were absolutely harassed over being 15 late on a Sunday after a concert event. Also no water in the evening in the lobby

Over priced....

Being I was traveling from out of state due to my father being at U of M hospital, it was very close for myself to be there to be there for him

It is very outdated, very hot in the rooms, the second night of my stay they changed the locks from keys to cards, only having valet parking at $30 a day or only othe option is to park in public parking garage up the road, is not something I would book again for at this price a night. Due to my dads health and what my trip was for, for only 3 days I did not even get to enjoy any breakfast or free water, everything just money or charge it releated.... just a terrible experience when you want to be close to family in need..... very disappointed.

Great location but disappointing customer service

The location was great and staff were very friendly. The air conditioning was not working well the first night, but this was fixed quickly when I let them know in the morning

There were three main reasons I scored this property low 1. I left my wireless headphones in the room when I left, I have emailed them several times and not heard back, I would be happy to pay for postage if they could email me back 2. I inadvertently double booked the room on a booking app, even though the hotel was not full I was still charged for the extra room I mistakenly booked but did not stay in 3. there is no fridge in the room - which I thought would be be standard

A cozy room for the best exploration.

This hotel is a cozy and tiny gem in Ann Arbor, located just few minutes walk from the main attractions provided by the University of Michigan. The room is very comfortable and wide, with a large bathroom. The bed is comfortable and a selection of pillows is available. The staff is extremely kind and provide for any need the guest has. The fitness center (one treadmill, one elliptical, one multipower structure, some free weights, one bench) is small but definitely functional. The breakfast is awesome and always warm, it surely makes you feeling full. I appreciated my stay and I would suggest the hotel for the proximity of museums, the University, downtown, restaurants.

Very average for the price!

I really liked the white rug in the bathroom -- made stepping out of the bath in this extremely small space a bit more palatable. However, charging so much for such a small space seems atrocious!

WiFi kept going in and out almost every day and connecting my laptop was much harder than my mobile phone! Terrible experience for a hotel charging so much!

Great staff, great location.

The staff was great. They were helpful and made great suggestions. The location was ideal for Michigan Ave and all the attractions around Millennium Park. My only not-so-positive comment is that there is no restaurant on-site. It didn't matter to us as we went out, but if someone wants to eat at the hotel, they're out of luck.

Mediocre hotel, broken appliances, understaffed, dirty rooms, mediocre breakfast. Good location.

Location is good, very central in Ann Arbor, close to everything on Central Campus of the UofM. Bed was comfortable.

The sound insulation between rooms is non-existent. I could hear my neighbors having a normal conversation so clearly that I could almost make out words. Unfortunately, this was after 11 pm one day and at 5:30 am the next day. They were not loud; it was not their fault, but the insulation was terrible. The hotel feels old. Things are broken or dirty. The coffee machine in my room was broken. The armchair had stains on it. The carpet was worn out. Breakfast was mediocre---looks like eggs, sausages, and potatoes were industrially reconstituted from a powder. Coffee was tepid and weak. The hot water carafe had not been attended to, and the water was cold. Importantly, it did not feel like the staff cared about the hotel---just sitting around chatting. When I arrived (around 6 pm), the only person tending the front desk was away. I understand that sometimes one needs to step away, but why can't there be another person to temporarily step in to check-in guests? Not enough staff.

A very organized and clean hotel with a charming, quiet and cosy ambiance. All the staff was great and I would like to specially mention Karen, who was so nice and attentive helping me with some details regarding the reservation and availability of the rooms, and Ashley, who I had the pleasure to meet at the front desk at check-in: she was extremely friendly, attentive and professional giving me a so nice first impression of the hotel after a long flight trip. The room and bathroom were great, a good shower and a very comfortable bed. The location is perfect with all you need just a few steps.

The breakfast might improve a lot, there are just a few options served. But the place is very clean and comfortable.

The Belle Bell

The Bell Tower is part of Ann Arbor history. My parents first brought me here in the 80s. Now I am here visiting my freshman daughter. The location is ideal. My room is small, tidy and appealing. The lobby is large and comfortable. Breakfast is served in a large modern room. The voices of the other travelers around me create a happy hum during breakfast. Things to know - the feel is a wonderful inn - not a Hilton. That's why I love it. Last night, I heard loud college revelers outside of my window - remember my days doing the same thing and went back to sleep. (Bell Tower provides a white noise machine if you require one.) I have loved it here for 45 years. The staff is very involved with making my stay comfortable. Always a delight.

LOCATION, you will find this unbeatable!

We came to Ann Arbor for a U Mich activity, so location was the best you can find, and price is reasonable too. You can walk everywhere from the hotel. Also is always convenient to have breakfast on site. It was a nice detail to have water, apples and cookies available at the reception, thanks!

Very good

This was a beautiful old hotel in walking distance from our destination. It was close to the campus and surrounded by lots of food places and lovely little shops. The staff was friendly and the valet made sure our car was ready to go at our very early departure time.

We could hear the conversations from the rooms nearby. The room was too warm no matter how much we tried to cool it down.
