Roomy hotel - a perfect distance from the bustle of town!

The hotel staff were very friendly & cordial! We were in constant communication via email about our arrival time and a special request that we had. They even provided my husband with a ceramic cup to use in the microwave to heat up hot water for his tea!! The room is larger than most hotel rooms, which made it feel roomy! The size of the room, the shower and the special nook for beverages (ice bucket, cups, and coffee maker) was a nice little addition to the room. A small suggestion please, would be to add an extra cozy chair (besides the one at the desk), to sit, read and enjoy ones coffee or tea and to read in. The hotel is also situated a nice distance from the bustle of downtown which made it a perfect opportunity to walk and enjoy the area. We will most definitely be back!

Not much really. An extra cushy chair to read in would have been lovely. Also, we noticed that the 'fan' first blew out cold air before putting out heat.

Nice place to stop

This lodge was a great place to stay. The receptionist was friendly and recommended good places to eat. I loved the rooftop where I hung out to watch the sunset and a couple staying at the lodge set up under a fir tree and practiced their music 🎶 A beautiful ending to a day of exploration.

Uncomfortable and stinky in hood river

The view from the parking lot was great.

The first thing was the terrible smell in the room. It smelled like the room was a smoking room and then it was attempted to be covered up. The toilet wasn't clean but had a sanitized sticker on it. The beds were nowhere near comfy, there was just a flat sheet covering the mattress, not even tucked in just laying there. The pool was cold and the hot tub is not in use.

Great weekend stay.

Reception was very friendly and the location is excellent. My room was renovated and was much nicer than the photos online, which was a nice surprise.

The property was tidy

The screaming match between the staff and a customer in front of our room that was loaded with obscenities. The room was so heavily sprayed with some sort of deodorizer that I had to open all of the windows and had an asthma issue the entire evening. The room was ok but very cheaply appointed considering how much they charge. I expected better for the cost. Will not stay again. Worker at desk needs training on customer service.

Great place to crash if you’re out and about traveling around. Not a great place to enjoy any amenities.

The location was great. Close to stores and restaurants. Several brunch spots were walkable. Room was clean and the staff were friendly.

The pillows were old and flat. My brother and I are 6ft plus and had trouble sleeping with the thin pillows. We also had planned for my other brother’s groomsmen to use the heated pool and hot tub before we got ready for his wedding in our room and the pool was cold and the hot tub looked like it hadn’t worked in months. The paper sign taped to the top of the hot tub lid looked like it had been there for ages so that was a major bummer on his wedding day.

Great view of Mount Adams! would stay again!

Beds are super comfortable and very clean and a great view of Mount Adams! Some great breakfast restaurants right around the corner walking distance! Reasonable and had originally went there because they had full ended up not using it cause we’re so tired from climbing Mount Adams, but would definitely stay there again and the pool looks great!

The rooms are super clean, beds are comfortable and the location is walking distance to downtown. We feel the value of this hotel is excellent and there's plenty of parking. My spouse is very picky and when she's happy with a place we go back! Already booked our next stay.

Staff didn't seem the friendliest. I wasn't aware of the 4pm check in time and showed up earlier to ask a question and didn't have a great first impression. Other than this, everything was great.

I stay here regularly mostly off-season. Nice.

The room had a private balcony with a north east view of The pool covered area has a view to the north. Quiet, even on a May Sarurday. Comfortable, clean, nice. Short walk or ride to dining or the Safeway for fresh or microwave meals. Nice breakfast place few blocks West. Residential area on a main street less than a mile from downtown to the East.

Forget the frowny emoji on the header. I still think this is the better, maybe best mid-priced option in Hood River. The closed hot tub spa is no longer advertised on the web, but the signs outside still say pool/spa. The regular pool is open 10 to 10. For most customers who just want to sleep a night, this would be of trivial importance. Over all, this place has a nice vibe.

Poorly managed

We reserved the room for a quick trip town from the coast. When my 10yr old daughter took her shower, she had the fan on. My wife and I noticed the smell of smoke(weed) coming out of the bathroom. When she turned the fan on it sucked the smoke from somewhere, most likely the room below. I went to the office to tell them we smelled the smoke. The office lady said "we'll it is legal to smoke weed, and this is hood river". I asked her if the room was a non smoking, she said " there is NO SMOKING on the property". They did not and would no go check it out for us. So we asked for a a different room, they were all booked. So we asked for a refund. "Oh I'm sorry i don't have the authority to do that". So i left my email with her and my phone number as well. We have not heard from them at all and we have called .twice to check up on the issue. This happened beginning of april, My wife has stayed here a time or 2 and will no longer stay here she said. Their lack of action in this incident really shows how they operate. Do not stay at riverview lodge.

Absence of Customer Service, stealing is the norm

Nothing was positive about this property. Management was rude and not willing to cooperate at all.

No pet-friendly accommodation available and no willingness to find a solution. Bottomline robbed by this facility. Never book here unless you want to be treated like a prisoner.
