Clean, good for one night

Our one night stay at Best Western Sevierville/Kodak Inn was priced fairly and was very clean. Interior doors are our preference, white sheets and comforter, balcony was a plus. Some upgrades have been made to this older building. Great view of Buc-ee’s.

Security issue, as the outdoor card reader at door near elevator was broken, therefore door remained unlocked at all times. Balconies are too close to parking, and some guests smoked despite the rules. At check-in the worker was clear on “no smoking, even on balcony.” Falling ashes could potentially burn a hole in our tonneau cover, so we had to park elsewhere. Office staff was slow to come to the desk at both check in and check out. Somewhat difficult to get to when coming from Pigeon Forge, as a U-turn is needed. Too far away to stay if planning to visit PF, Sevierville or Gatlinburg, and not worth saving a few dollars due to the high traffic. Walls are definitely not sound proofed! When I drifted off to sleep, I heard a door close and I instantly woke up and thought someone was coming in my room! We did not use the pool or try breakfast. It was fine for a one night stay, and I was thankful for a clean room.

You could smell a heavy cigarette smoke odor. Don’t know if there were smoking rooms nearby or someone was smoking, but it was strong. we don’t smoke so it was very noticeable.

The location was nice and around a lot of stuff to do.

We had to change rooms three times during our 10 day stay. First one was our first day there, noticed on the balcony door that there was black mold all over it. We complained and got us moved to a new room, the night was fine and then the next couple of days go by and our ceiling starts leaking, all over us and our phones. So we got ourselves moved to yet another room. Then that night around 3 am the fire alarms start going off because someone cooked something too long in the microwave, overall it was a 1/10 experience and we’re not even compensated.

Need Updates and repairs

I recently stayed at this hotel and found that it really needs some major updates. The first room we were given had sheets that were falling apart and pillows with stains and a musty, moldy smell. Although the staff was kind enough to move us to a second room, we still encountered stained pillows—not on the pillowcases, but on the pillows themselves. Additionally, the housekeeping could use better supervision. There was leftover soap in the bathtub, and we noticed dust on top of the drawers and wardrobe. It seems like the rooms could benefit from deeper, more thorough cleanings. The breakfast area was also quite cramped, and the food was a bit overcooked. There were long lines, and the space felt too small for the number of guests. Overall, while the staff was friendly, I believe the hotel would greatly benefit from updating their linens, pillows, and housekeeping standards to ensure a more comfortable stay. Additionally, the side entrance to the hotel, which we used during check-in, had a broken scanner. This meant that the door wasn’t secure, allowing anyone to enter and exit freely without supervision. This raised concerns about safety and security during our stay.

Excellent value

Took a long time to resolve the booking conflict at the front desk. About 20 minutes of waiting. It was my fault because I booked at 1:00 a m. Which was needing to be backdated for that night and they had trouble doing it. Booking.com representative was helpful, but it took a long time for the hotel to resolve.

It was very dirty. The carpet in our room looked like someone was murdered. We had to put down towels to walk on. The remote for the TV didn’t work and it was broken. Patched hole in the wall. Bathroom room floor very dirty.

Upon arrival, the gentleman behind the desk didn't look up till I was just two steps from the counter. WHY? His face was buried in his cellphone! There was NO smile...no "Welcome, good to see you...etc..." Bottom line? He should NOT be placed in that position, as a/one who has that position is the FACE of the business. Add to that... At breakfast in the morning, they were out of butter, soooooo, I stepped out of that room a few feet & my line of sight had the front desk in view. The same individual was seated behind the desk, & what was he doing? Glad you asked...he was once again STARING at his cellphone. Because there was nobody even in that general area @ the time, I didn't feel the need to walk all the way over to the counter to ask for butter, so I slightly raised my voice in order for him to hear me, stating, "Hey...are you the one to request a refill on the butter, because I don't see a/one back here in the dining area". He said nothing, but got up & walked to the dining area. When I saw that he was going to be the one tending to things, I simply stepped back into the room & waited for him. I had stepped back from the counter area & he opened a few drawers underneath & grabbed a box of the small butter packages. After he filled up the small container that holds the butter packs, & headed back to the front desk, he pretty much brushed up AGAINST me. Now, there was AMPLE room for him to have stepped to side a few inches as I was CERTAINLY not in his way. He said nothing...not, "Here you go...sorry we ran out of butter...anything else needed...hope e/thing here at the property is OK with you, etc, etc...", he just went on his merry way. I don't want to belabor things, but erhe were a few other interactions with the gentleman that quite frankly, doesn't bode well for the property. I'm not out to get a/one in trouble...

This place has potential, but needs some work.

Indoor pool and included breakfast was good.

Room could have been cleaner. Lots of dirt on floor when we arrived. The room could have been maintained better with simple things like painting rust in bathroom and even random holes in the wall from old towel hanger that wasn't patched. Very little places to hang towels to allow them to dry. Pillows were small and cheap and beds were very firm.

One towel in the room had a weird stain. The gym nor the pool had towels available in their locations, you had to go to the front and grab them, and most times the towels were not stocked. I asked for one. And walked away with one only to find out it has a nasty stain at the bottom I didn't see before. Also, no microwave in the room.

Beautiful clean room.

The room is huge, smells fresh, and is clean. There is a coffee maker and a refrigerator. There is an indoor pool. The room has an iron.

No ironing board. No microwave.

It was great we was in for a wedding and the hotel wasn’t to far from pigeon Forge.

The property was right across the road from bucees, also the pool was open 24/7 and it’s in a quiet area, you can grab breakfast in the morning in the dining area or you can go next door to slapjacks pancakes:

I didn’t like the parking, there was not enough room for all the vehicles. Vending machines didn’t work they took our money and never gave us our items, I did not like being on the 1st floor lesson learned anyone can try to open your balcony door if your on the 1st floor.

Carpet in room torn/frayed stained. Ac unit needed cleaned it was musty and there was a lot of moisture in the air. Pillows were too small and too soft. Why are you going with 5 - 9" pillows on a king bed.? The inside door had to be slammed to securely close. It was not secured after maid left. It looked as though someone had tried to open from the outside with a screw driver. Actual notches on the door from the screwdriver handle . Informed del clerk upon checking out.

Only place we could find to stay at the last minute. Came into the room and noticed tv was on, did not think anything about it. When it came time to turn off for the night , it would not turn off, had to unplug. Got up next morning after bad sleep( very noisy, walls are very thin) went in to take a shower and shower would not work. Do not stay at this place , keep drying and looking even if you have to go back to Knoxville. Worst place I have ever stayed and will NEVER stay there again
