Residence Inn Milwaukee Downtown

The facility was in a great location for the concert we attended at the Riverside Theater. It was barely a 2 minute walk, which is one of the main reasons we chose this location. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in! The breakfast offerings were much more varied than a typical included breakfast.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better in some spots. We had a gorgeous view of the river and the downtown area, but when we opened the sheer curtains, there were dead bugs and other unrecognizable "schmuck" on the windowsills. It appeared there was dried toothpaste on the front of the bathroom vanity, which was in pretty poor shape. Additionally, the duvet on the bed was pretty dirty, which we discovered only after we slept in it for the night. Had we seen that, we would have asked housekeeping to replace that cover. The curtains in the bedroom didn't close all the way, which was frustrating, because our room faced to the east and the early morning sun hit us right in our faces much too early in the morning! Beware that you do have to pay $30 per vehicle (plus tax) to park in the underground parking garage. Since we met at the hotel for the concert, it added an additional $60+ dollars onto our lodging costs.

Good location , clean , exceptional space and very good breakfast.

Great location, beautiful views, spacious rooms. Breakfast was hot and had lots of choices, having hot cocoa station was nice. Staff did accommodate a room change request for adjoining rooms.

Staff did not have many suggestions for amenities and when we checked out, we turned in our cards and the staff member failed to mention we would need our key cards to access the garage. Elevators had problems and we had to use the freight elevator a couple of times.

Bed was small (queen) but comfortable. Kitchen was good.

I take stairs, not elevators. The stairs were too tall to get to the 5th floor. I didn't like that there was not maid service every day. There were people hanging out in the lobby area that appeared to be homeless. Our card for parking stopped working after day 1. The people working the desk were not very friendly.
