It needs to go under big renovation before you can call it a real hotel
The spa area should just be closed as it is way to old and warned to the limit of decency

Beautiful, classic hotel, gorgeous and festive grounds.
The floors in the rooms were not level.

The Spa was nice.
The room felt small and old and bit noisy . We could hear people above us.
Very expensive you pay for parking, good also high.

Good location.
How to use the phone could be better.
Trouble reaching desk.

After 20-years of patronage, I think this resort has gone it’s course. There are just too many points of departure for me. I send, on the average 50 ppl a year to this place and I will stop recommending it. I can’t even muster up the energy to come up with what I liked— but oh, wait a moment— I liked El Molino Central Market across the street.
1. No fireplace without prior warning (I booked this place for the living room fireplace). Instead there were candles in the fireplace and that ginormous room was FRIGIDLY cold.
2. I asked for an upgrade with a fireplace on Monday and was told there wasn’t one. I was told “We’re fully committed.” On Tuesday I went back down and there were rooms available.
3. The HVAC sang all night long
4. The rain treatment and cold plunge was broken and has been for 1/2 a year
5. The hotel store—which was a table in a corner was broken down
6. The highly promoted “Fairmont Chalets” cluttered the front entry of great room and were listing from afar and looked as though a community of 1st graders decorated them
7. The property just looked worn-down and unkempt
8. Where the heck did the Spa gift shop go? The bananas and nuts and snacks in the spa area?
9. I’m done. I drove from SoCal to NorCal, paid a lot of money and because I had planned my trip around a giant fireplace that I loved, I had to pretty much stay in my room in bed and beneath the covers because it was cold and I was disappointed

Big property with lots of cute little areas to sit. Room was nice and big, the spa was great!
You pay so much for one night, parking should be included

It’s a beautiful place, the staff is super nice and the room service did an excellent job.
We had bad luck with the people in the room above us and we heard a lot of what was going on in that room.

The pool was really nice. We got in around 7 and left the next day, so we didn't spend a ton of time there. We did enjoy our stay though. t
It was our 25th anniversary, and we noted that on our reservation. It would have been nice if they did a small gesture to acknowledge that considering the price of the room.

Staff at the pool were very pleasant.
Food portions were very small. Air conditioning unit in both rooms made loud clanking noises all night long. Sheets on bed were severely stained. Hallways need to be repainted, look very worn.

A BeaThe property itself is gorgeous — we especially loved lounging by the pool and taking full advantage of the spa. The food was delicious and the staff were truly exceptional: warm, professional, and attentive across the board.
There were a few things that impacted our experience. The bed in our room was surprisingly uncomfortable, and after three nights, we both left with some back pain. Temperature control in the room was also a challenge — it seemed to swing between overly hot and freezing cold, and we couldn’t quite get it right.
In the mornings a large group event was hosted for breakfast directly beneath our balcony, which made our relaxing morning coffee on the balcony a bit awkward with 30 people in suits looking up at us. And one day, our car was misplaced by the valet. We weren’t informed for about 20 minutes, and unfortunately, that delay made us late for a wine tasting we had booked.

Staff great!
The spa have to pay and first come first serve if not having a massage. $69 is pricey pp. in the spa there was no eucalyptus steam room! The watzu pool music did not work either. One last thing the clocks around the spa were broken I didn’t bring my phone to spa so no way to tell time except ask a staff member Really ridiculous. I come at least once a year here. Disappointing. This time I brought my sister and her fiancé It was there first time.

In the pool, the chairs were way too close to each other.

The property is gorgeous and in a wonderful location. Amenities were wonderful. Loved the live music when we arrived and the happy hour! Has a very old school luxury feel to it.
The rooms are large but DEFINITELY need UPDATING.
8.0 / 10.0
Room was comfortable but bed was too high to climb in even though I am not short with aheight of 5.6 feet.
Food is very expensive comparative to food in town.
Quality of food is very mediocre and is not value for money.
3.0 / 10.0
Insufficient parking requiring that we valet, unnecessarily.
Spa facilities nice but for a $69 day pass we would be in a shaded hallway because it required that we use a service worth $275 to get a good spot. Odd way to treat guests.
Facilities worn. Not up to Fairmont standards. Disappointing

this is a nice property that allows pets which we appreciate. the valet staff was very kind and helpful, as was the woman working at the restaurant for 27 years! the endless fire pits are fun at night to hang out, have a glass of wine.
Sonoma Mission Inn wants to be a high end place but still charge customers at every turn. can't be both. the hotel is nice but many parts of it( hallways, main/only pool, are tired looking). They have this "bundle" which is just another way to charge you more for things they should already be offering, $59 per night. They had no problem charging me for my dog (which they should) but I had to make a special trip to ask for a dog water bowl for the room. if you want to use the adult pool, you have to pay $69 per person per day. otherwise, there is only one other pool which is full of small children. There is an area of lounge chairs slightly distant from the pool itself but no umbrellas, no service. Coffee, which once upon a time was something offered as a courtesy here, also gone. And being an Accor Gold member doesn't change any of this. i was told I could pay for a checkout after 12pm; so the message is, we can do it but you have to pay for it. we have stayed at many Accor properties and this isn't the customer service we have experienced. Again, if you want to be a top tier place then just build these costs into your room rate instead of nickel and diming at every turn. Otherwise, lower your room rate and just be a middle of the road place and charge for every little perk.

We were traveling with a toddler, so we wanted a separate room so he could take naps and go to bed while we could still enjoy the fireplace, balcony etc and the 1 bedroom selection was great. The spa is felt overpriced - even for the Bay Area, but the minerals pools are so good. 24h gym also great and the lobby wine taste was a nice treat! I also want to thank Jesus at front desk, so nice and helpful!
The fee of the spa day use even for guests was quite expensive. In my understanding prior to arrival, the fee for guests was discounted, but not what I have been told at the place. At the time of our visit, the pool bar was not open for the season yet - I did not know they were closed.

Comfortable bed, welcome glass of sparkling wine on check in, bottle of red wine in the room was a nice touch. Staff provided a microwave, kettle and cot in our bedroom on request.
Charging extra for parking and access to the sauna and steam room in what is meant to be a 5 star hotel felt ridiculous. We had no robes or slippers in our room. The lobby is very basic, restrooms off the lobby are outdated. Not a 5 star experience

The location and grounds are lovely.
Staff was outstanding.
The spa area was fun. Like the spa cafe.d
The rooms are dark. Windows are low and not very big.
The restaurant was ok but not outstanding.
The staff was very nice, but there were 2 dinner guest that were drinking heavily and very inappropriate at their table.

Nice staff and there’s a shuttle to the town (which you pay for in an extra fee at checkin so not really a perk or anything, you pay for it whether you use it or not)
The establishment is so old that it’s not a particularly pleasant experience. The entrance is designed in a way that if it’s cold outside the whole lobby area is freezing, the showers have no pressure, the second floor is inaccessible to a stroller and on and on
6.0 / 10.0
Friendly, helpful staff. The shuttle to town was especially useful. Our room/bed was very comfortable
Considering the price, and the designation of the facility as a Fairmont Hotel, we felt the facility was less than we expected. We stayed here 10 years ago and were very impressed then. This time, the facility was looking tired and in need of an upgrade. The fountains were dirty, the landscaping was wilted, the toilet in our room was broken and the location of our room felt like it was down a cheaper, afterthought of a hallway. This was not the luxury Fairmont we had expected from 10 years ago.

Spa was amazing ! We were there 3 nights and 4 days.

Amazing in every way. I've stayed at some nice hotels and the staff here went well above and beyond. The quality of service was the highlight (and location, and facilities)
Literally nothing - it was fantastic.

great suite/wonderful spa -staff was great
we had room 940. it was the intersection for all staff carts to congregate so for the same price my friend’s room, ours was not as good

The property is beautiful. The grounds and rooms are decorated fabulously and are very lush as well as comfortable...
The hotel was very very crowded with families and lots and lots of kids and dogs. our room was across from an ice machine in a cavernous hallway so it was pretty loud most of the time. For the pricing , that part was disappointing.
