DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Lancaster

I love many things about this hotel. I grew up coming here for like 20 years. It’s the original Willow Valley Hotel. Now owned by double tree. I’m 47 now and decided to return yearly as my go to spot for a nice relaxing vacation. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean and spacious. Did I mention the daily cookie? Hot a gooey the way we like them. lol. It’s a nice touch. The hotel bar is convenient as well. I only had 1 drink but it was properly made and being able to take it up to my room was great. The front desk has a nice set up if you need drinks, chargers, junk food, toot brushes/ paste. Anything you might have forgotten for a quick add the fee to the room. It’s convenient and I appreciate this. No more looking for vending machine singles. And there is a CVS close by (300 feet tops)if you ever need something. Double tree in willow valley is a great location. I’d say centrally located to anything you want to do. Good times. Thank you to the staff for making my stay great as usual.

I do miss the real restaurant for the bad weather or travel days where you want a good meal without running around. The bistro food is good, and it has plenty of room to sit down, but it’s different. I did go for dinner one night, and didn’t starve. The burger and fries were perfect. It’s the only thing I’d change.

The pool was great for keeping my kids entertained. The breakfast was really good and had a lot of variety. The entire hotel was clean. We had a great stay!

The pool towels could be bigger, they were the size of hand towels lol. Otherwise we had a great stay.
