Holiday Inn Express and Suites Sumner by IHG

Great location. Breakfast was great. Room was comfy. I would come again.

It was a bit spendy for a single night out of town. Tried looking for discounts but couldn't find anything.

The beginning of the stay started off well. Maggie was nice enough to check us in early and accommodate us on the first floor. I have a six month old baby and a dog; I appreciate the consideration of your hostess during check-in. Later that day, I requested some pillows/blankets via the phone. Steven brought the towels about 15-20 minutes later. I appreciate him taking the time to bring these blankets/pillows. I made a separate request for more towels the next day. Carlie was nice enough to bring those towels to me within minutes. When the same request was made a few days later, the receptionist was not so kind. He let me know the towels would be waiting for me at the front desk. I came to the front desk to get the items I requested. Then on the 11th (a few days into our visit), I requested at the front desk our room to be cleaned at 10:30am. It was with the same man that helped me the day before and had me come to the front desk to get my towels. I had removed our “Do Not Disturb” sign before we left. When I returned to the hotel at 1:30pm, our room was not cleaned. I asked the receptionist if he had any idea of when my room would be cleaned. He said he was not sure but he notified the head of housekeeping. I said okay and let him know I would be waiting in the lobby for my room to be ready with my six month old baby and my dog. I was notified 15 minutes later that my room was being worked on. My room was finally cleaned at 2:35pm. A nice lady with a red sweater and a cute corgi notified me my room was clean as she was heading out and apologized, but the room was not fully cleaned. The microwave was still dirty. At this time, the hotel staff had changed shifts. I went back to the front desk and Steven was there. I asked him for the card to the general manager or head of housekeeping. He pointed in the direction of the front desk card saying “what does that look like?

My biggest issue was on the 11th. Otherwise my visit was pleasant. I was disappointed I had to service my own room the rest of the visit.
