    This is our second time staying at the Boulders. We highly enjoyed it the first time. This time it was ok. The facilities/grounds are beautiful. Spotted Donky is very good to eat at. We ate their multiple times. This time we had an adult child come as well and we didn't sleep well as the beds are kind of hard. Plus, we were put in a location where the delivery trucks pull in and the golf carts are parked at night. So, at 7 a.m. every morning there was loud beeping as the trucks backed up and the golf carts were backing up. 4 out of 6 nights I woke up to this noise and it was hard to get back to sleep. My husband pointed it out after his first night of sleep and said he was woken up by it too. This was something different too we didn't encounter on our first trip: We were driving in and a security/cop like car approached us after we were onto the grounds about 1/2 way in and passed us. The community is gated and very safe so we thought that was unusual as we didn't see anything like that on our first stay and it took away from the beauty of the area. This was a also a strange incident with security as well. We were leaving with our teenage son during daylight hours and were walking to our SUV in the parking lot. A golf cart that said 'Security' on the front was following us as we walked into the parking lot and followed us to our SUV in the parking lot. My husband backed out and the security guard backed up behind us and then got in front of us as we moved forward to go out of the parking lot. Another young white male security guard stopped on his 'security' golf cart and was talking to the other older white male security guard that had just followed us into the parking lot. Then as my husband pulled out to leave the parking lot, the older white male security guard that had followed us started up and went through the parking lot across from us quickly and pulled up to the exit of that parking lot quickly right as we went by and then followed us until we left the gated area. Security guards should not be following guests as they go into parking lots and leave the resort. My husband is hispanic. I'm not sure if that caught their attention? or why they were acting in this manner around us during mid day in the resort. It was unusual is all I can say. Other than that the grounds are impeccable and the people that take you around on golf carts are very nice.
