The breakfast could have offered more fruit. Or a knife and cutting board to cut the fruit.
Our room was very musty - so much so that we had to open the window and air out the room to even tolerate it.

Location and parking, free breakfast, friendly staff, tea and sherry and the decorations, and pricing
Rooms run to hot even during the winter, I personally found blankets to be uncomfortable. The bathroom door kept getting stuck, front doors wouldn’t were warped, they provided one fan per room for cooling purposes, and it didn’t help with cooling the room. This isn’t great when you have respiratory problems. While I understand that the value of this hotel its historical authenticity, creature comforts where possible would be appreciated. If a Cooling system is not possible, I would suggest doubling the amount of fans in the room. Small blurbs near the artwork, or possible informational seminars held during their tea and sherry hour/s, would be greatly valued. My boyfriend wanted this booking for its historical authenticity and lore, but felt that the hotel didn’t take opportunity to feature these experiential enhancements.

The Victorian property was beautifully furnished. Very Victorian. The staff was very helpful. They took good care of us.
The property was not very clean. And our room was in need of some serious attention. The carpet was old and dirty. There was an unstable lump along 6 inches of the entry to the bathroom. The curtains were pinned together.
