Alt Hostel

I chose this place specifically to see the fireworks, but only after checking in did I realize how high my standards are for indoor air quality. Perhaps because it's an old port, the buildings weren't easy to renovate. The bed frames are 2x3, each bed has three bunks, and each room has two bed frames. There are probably at least 10 rooms on one floor, but only 5 bathrooms and 3 toilets. The queues to come back after watching the fireworks were excruciating. The worst part was the lack of exhaust fans in the rooms; everyone's breath circulated within the same room. And because there was no air conditioning, although the temperature was acceptable, the air quality was unbearable. I only slept for 5 hours; I felt like I was suffocating, and I immediately fled in the morning. The location of the accommodation is excellent, though. I recommend choosing a private room for a better experience if you book here.

I would say the location is superb as it is inside the old town and it is a very happening area. my room was downstairs and since I checked in late and checked out early so I requested to leave at the luggage room and luckily the receptionist was helpful with it. The facilities are consider new and I believe they just renovated not long. The room is also quite spacious for 12 beds and if I open my big luggage should have ample of space. Actually my room is quite noisy with the street noise and steps from upstairs but I was too tired so I could not hear anything after that

Great location, staff were great. The hostel has a good vibe. My only complaint are the beds. In the section next to the main hostel the mattresses are awful. They are paper thin and it hurts your back.

I've stayed in other hostels before but this one was the hardest for me to get sleep. The lockers were so loud and every move someone makes, it so loud. Everything is outdated.
