Hôtel Manoir de l'Esplanade

This is just an excellent gem of a boutique hotel on the edge of Old town Quebec. It's a little creaky and the stairways are tight/steep, but there is an elevator if needed. The room was very comfortable and a quite nice size. A microwave or some way to heat water for tea would have been a nice addition, but there was hot water for tea or instant coffee in the reception area after about 7am. The bathroom was small, but adequate. Water pressure was quite low. The air conditoning worked very well, did not produce wide temperature swings, and it was very quiet. Breakfast was great with an attentive staff and a variety of choices. There were hard boiled eggs, but no cooked to order eggs which seemed to trouble some guests. Staff was very friendly and seemed ready to help with any need. The location was excellent right on the edge of Old Town, a very short walk to all the sights and many restaurants.

It was very beautiful and close to everything! Thank goodness for the air conditioning!

The location was good, very walkable to town and the Citadel. The bed and the room temperature were very comfortable and I liked the bathroom supplies provided. There was a nice variety of food offered for breakfast, and the staff helping to serve were very polite and friendly.

The room was a little dated looking, but we didn't really mind. We had to climb some stairs to get to our room, which was a little tricky with baggage, but again, not that big a deal (though it might be for some).

rooms were good... a bit rustic. was not happy happy that you could not get ice at 10 pm or make a hot tea.... the entire place is with no staff after 9 pm. There are several other hotels on the street that appear to be more comforatble and more modern.
